Well it's PJ's day Sunday for us even though it's Easter Sunday. Kids have done their Easter egg hunt in the back garden. I had got the kids their Easter eggs before the lockdown so they have a few eggs rather than the usual 9 they get.
Hubbie still working a wee bit due going to be furlonged very soon. I'm still being paid small wage every 2 weeks. Put the usual money away to an account so we can still access if needed.
Certainly only spending money on groceries and having a takeaway treat every 2 weeks so will probably be able to put away more money nearer the end of the month. It takeaway week coming up so looking forward to it.
Still waiting for money to be credited to our credit cards for our cancelled holiday as we would in new York the now if this virus had not reared its head. Hopefully will get money in the next 2-3weeks as they said.3 -
Well I have the rota for work so I'm in work wed 29th April to Friday at the hub school and then back sometime in June for 2.5days. jury service has been cancelled which is good.
Waiting see how this all pans out in the world but contacting lots of family and friends and keeping in touch. Happy Easter everyone and stay safe.2 -
Still waiting for holiday money to be recredited to us. Hubbie tried to call them again since it has been 4 weeks since they said they would return the money but now not even answering.
Homeschooling going ok most of the time. Had a few stressed out times when son not even thinking about maths he is doing.
Daughter and I have been trying new cake recipes and twitter her school with the results. Got a few more recipes to do. Just dropped off some of the fridge cake to a friend round the corner - it's her favourite and means it will be less for us to eat. I see my weight creeping up again even though going out for our daily walk. Will need to try to stop eating the extra crisps etc at night. Bye for now.

Hope your refund arrives in your account very soon.
You sound very happy with how home schooling is going, just keep plodding on.
Stay safe and take care.2 -
I survived working at the school hub last week and not due back until 20gh June if schools still not back.
I am coping with homeschooling and son is enjoying the topics I have set him to do. Daughter doing her own work but trying to think of a short story to write for a competition.
Son has been learning to go better on his bike which is starting to get too small now. Dad had filmed this and someone he knows says we can have their sons old bike so going to get new bike tonight. No doubt son will want to try out tomorrow when no school
School set a tic tic challenge which me and son did and put on twitter to the school.
Still waiting for our refund from virgin holidays. That's been 6 weeks now. Sent a WhatsApp as not answering phones to say if not heard from them tomorrow we would try to start section 75 claim on both credit cards. They did respond to say bear with us but we will try to start the claim next week if we can figure it out.
Hubbie enjoying volunteering at the local action group and managed to get an afternoon off today. Back tomorrow for him.2 -
Well we decided to try to raises section 75 on our 2 credit cards for the holiday which didn't happen first credit card we have emailed them to do this. Second one spoke to someone and they state we should give virgin holidays 90 days grace since we have processed proc with them. So will wait until 20th June and then raise it if still no money received.
Getting good at finding new baking recipes and doing these with daughter and of course enjoying most of these.
Don got his report card from school. All good do he got a new 200 piece Jigsaw do he is happy.3 -
Well done to your son.
What a pain having to wait so long for your refund.3 -
Well still doing home schooling with son whilst daughter does her own schoolwork. I'm due back next week to work in the school hub and back to work thereafter until Scottish school holidays. Hubbie will be cutting down his hours volunteering at the local action group to do home schooling next week.
Hubbie is due to start back to work at the end of June working at home. Both wages are still being paid fully which is great so I have been putting money aside not spent into a separate account payand hope to use this to put money into our ISAs and pay off some of the mortgage when I can.
Only really spending on food obviously and we have a takeaway every 2-3 weeks so will have one next week.
Still continuing with bingo via zoom with the neighbours on a Saturday night which is good fun and the kids enjoy it.

Any news on the refund yet?2
-
No nothing yet on refund. Got a generic email from them stating they are taking longer than they expected but bear with them.
They have until 24th June and then I will raise the section 75 on one of the cc cards and not heard from the other credit card company on how they are progressing.
We had a flat booked for the Scottish September weekend via Airbnb and they cancelled this last week and got the money credited on the credit card within days.2
