Sorry to hear you came home to sad news.

Sounds like you've had a busy end of term and make lots of progress. We have the high school transition next year.
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • Well it's now less than 2 weeks left of the school holidays and youngest is starting to be annoying so fast track going back to school.

Paid another £80 towards the mortgage the other day for July. Hubbie got a salary increase so putting this towards the 0% credit card as due to be paid off next January. All school uniforms bought just need to get school shoes bought week.
On Sunday we are off to see Madagascar at the theatre with friends and then put for dinner Glasgow. Looking to it as it was a great show last year. Hubbie recently found out he had a sore stomach for a reason - it's food posioning so he is being questioned about where he has eaten things they think it's from hissy but me and kids are fine.
  • It should say they think he got food posioning from holiday. Son been at 365 lunch club at motherwell football club with wee friend when dry and loves it.daughter had a friend stay over last night - so I'm tired as had to speak to them at 2am to put lights out and try to get to sleep.

Kids hopefully staying over at Nana and Papa on Thursday night as they will go school bag shopping. DD wants a bans bag - it up to grandparents if in budget.

The other day when in a nearby town we spotted a swap shop of clothes etc. Had a look and ended up joining and daughter found a nice designer leotard and shorts for her gymnastics so she is happy. Will look through my wardrobe to see if I can hand in anything to get points and then see if I can get something for me to wear.
Loosing weight was going so well before I we on holiday and I put on 4lbs. I'll stayed the same since we came back as had a few things on but need to get on track when I return to school. Nursedid notice I had lost weight from last year and blood pressure down. Just need to continue.
  • Well we have been back to normal school routines and daughter likes high school. Son is happy in p4. Weekend there we were very busy out at the local scarecrow festival it was a good day and stayed dry which was a bonus. Kids enjoyed it. Hubbie was selling at a stall promoting the boys bridage and made a bit money so the boys can go on a fun day out somewhere.

On Sunday we hired a van and collect my in-laws sofa and got rid of our sofa which was very old and getting very worn3d looking. In-laws are getting a new sofa on Wednesday. In the afternoon we were at bowling for nephew birthday treat.

Since I last updated I have made £1150 payment to the mortgage. Hopefully will do another small payment next week.
  • We have several weekend away coming up which will be good - I just hate packing but it worth it. In September we are off to Largs we go there every year for the past 6years I think but it’s to a different house this time - trying out air bnb. In October we are off to lochfyne spa hotel for 2 night and looking forward to this as well as going to visit the Inveraray jail. In November we are off for a few nights at Dundee - lots to look forward to before Christmas.

Also we have just booked our summer holiday for next June to Tenerife. Kids helped pick the hotel and going for 10 days since they loved it this year. Also hoping to book to go to New York for 4 or 5 nights in April next year since we were talking about going to America to See friends but unsure where they will be located - waiting to hear where they will go or will they return back home to uk. So we still want to go since it has been talked about going to New York and will see if they are able to join us there. Waiting to hear where they located first before booking this but would love to do this prior to Christmas. Lots happening,. Will try to keep you posted more often.

    Lots of exciting excursions.

    Hope you all enjoy yourselves.
  • Today made a small payment of £80 towards the mortgage today. Need to start looking at the clothes we will need for our long weekend away as well as getting money out of the bank for spends.

It's father in law big birthday so we have got him a peacock ornament for their large garden, red wine with a special label as well as we have printed out to say they have a set amount to book an overnight. Hopefully he will like. Going to visit him on Wednesday.

Daughter and I to do some baking for a McMillan coffee morning at school on Thursday.
  • Had a great weekend away in largs during the September weekend at a new place which was very central.

It's now the october school week off for us. Me and the kids are going to the pics tomorrow using meekcat. Going to book ticket today and get the last of bits to put in the shoebox appeal which DD is doing through high school. Got a few bits and pie es for reasonable amount as well as stuff we had about the house.

We are on our travels again soon for a 2noght break to inverary later this week. Looking forward to it as we are trying new places to go. Then we are going to see McDougall safari adventures at the theatre in largs next Sunday followed by a chippy shop tea and head back up the road to get ready for starting school the following day.

Still putting away money and made an overpayment to the mortgage of £120 so far this month.
  • I had set a very high target of overpaying for 2019 on the challenge thread but not going to achieve this. It was a bit ambitious to go for £6500. I'm heading near £3000 at the moment but will make a bigger overpayment next month I think to bring it up nearer.

Got some money for the kids and a bit for us from great grans house sale recently but our money is going towards a holiday to new York in April. Just looking into this as we promised the kids we would go but going In the summer but plans fell through. We were due to meet up with friends who live there but they have moved and will probably be moving on next year to another area in America. Hopefully going to book this before Xmas.

We have paid deposit to go to Tenerife in July next year. Expensive year for holidays but we have the money there and the kids have been told we will be back to a caravan holiday in 2021 so we can save the pennies. We want to go new places so on look out for this.

Will try to update more often. Bye for now.
