Hello!
Dashing in to say hi and wondering where the time is going... I've been out and about this morning, and also made a couple of little no-sew fleece piggy beds. Little critters have gone nuts for some parsley this morning, so will add that to the list of grow-your-own!
I'm a bit off-list at the moment and today I need to do bathrooms.
DD will be gutted - her batgirl cape didn't come in the post today. I'm a bit disappointed really - DS one arrived yesterday and they were ordered at the same timehope she's not too upset. I have other stuff for an outfit for her, but she had her heart set. I've some black fleece so I could cobble one together if she doesn't want the red one I made a couple of years ago...
Ah well, can't be helped...
Right, I'll go make a start on bathrooms!Bossymoo

Bathrooms cleaned and I've done some Xmas shopping!
Two light-up scooters, some Lego base plates for DS and an Xbox controller which I'll do from my brother. About time I sorted something. Also bought DD some knitted Xmas leggings and sweater - although she'll probably have those early, no point just having them for Xmas day...
Will email brother and give him the good news...Bossymoo

Oh Narc and moo, you have been busy! Mum called me at work asking for me to help at hers so no home flying for me. She's terrible for hoarding, I got her to throw out an ancient paper bag half full of stuff. That said it didn't go in the out side bin so she could have done anything with it! Got loads put away and furniture moved and pictures stored elsewhere as they can't go on the walls yet and moved boxes low down so she can reach and some other stuff shifted too. Oh well! My windows are destined to be filthy!0

Excellent list, Valli. I'm working my way through it. You'll catch up and lap yourself if you go any faster.
I've had my hair seriously flown and am feeling a lot lighter, bouncier and a lot more girly. I hope it looks as good when I wash and fluff it dry. The bonus is that instead of having dull greying hair with a Mallen streak I now look as though I have deliberate grey highlights. Result!
OH's wardrobe coming on, very slowly. Another hissy fit today when I said something else had to go to the dry cleaners.
I've made an executive decision and arranged to go and see an American-style fridge/freezer tomorrow at a local secondhand place. I'm too old to be scrabbling around down on my knees every time I want to find the pesto or butter. It'll mean a bit of rearranging, but it could also mean three bits of furniture/electrical items could be lobbed out which would be rather fab.Better is good enough.0 -
Morning ladies - another fun-packed day ahead for me. Well, packed, if not all fun.
The old caravan was collected yesterday. It took the guys two hours to get it out and moved, but it's gone! New one should be arriving next week, so just a little while longer on the first floor.
All my stuff in storage arrived back yesterday, so my poor DSD's bedroom is full to the ceiling with boxes. It was like Christmas come early though as I rediscovered things I've been missing for monthsNarc0lepsy wrote: »Have also had 2 eves out, so really looking forward to nothing planned for this eve
Oh my, I read that as you'd had your eyes out....and didn't bat an eyelid (sorry) that you fancied a quiet evening :rotfl: And I had my glasses on!
Your hair sounds lovely HB - stylish silver highlights!
Valli - hope things get easier for you. I really admire teachers, especially at this time of year. They have so much to organise both at work and home. I was stressing about a monkey costume for Small's part in the Christmas musical, but his lovely teacher is doing the choreography and scenery. Well, at least Small has all the moves.....Just not in the right order....
Cuppa then up and at 'm. Meeting with surveyor and plasterer this morning. X0 -

Glad you're still enjoying the riding BiscuitMonster.
Plan B is in operation today, as my lie-in was rudely disturbed by men fitting water meter. Had shower in preparation for lunch with friend and to my horror the water kept flowing after I turned shower off. Slithered down to stop !!!! wrapped in towels, turned off, checked and shower still going. Repeated till hand practically falling off with trying to shift stopcock any further. No sniggers. Mr N came back from filling bike up with petrol in readiness for a ride with friends. Turned water off with super strength. Sprinted down road to find water men (they are doing the whole village). Plumber summoned.......ah but you know all about plumbers' timing............ Rang friend and warned her lunch may be off as I'm chained to a waterless house. Actually the hot is ok so I can make coffee and flush loo with buckets. DW is sulking as it was part way through a cycle. Washing mountain sneering in a corner.
Breathe. Think I'll write a report. Of course this is all my punishment for deciding on the lie-in rather than the gym.
Flying beyond my control. And have a nice day.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Hello! I'm dashing about again. Been doing a spot of DIY and trying to dodge the snow! It's coming quite heavy at the mo
Have cleaned piggies out and they now have a ramp up to the top level so I can get the food up there. They are not happy lol. They'll get used to it...
Got a wash on and going to have a blitz of downstairs this afternoon.
Party later (kids) ugh don't really want to go out in this weather!!!Bossymoo

What with caravans being towed out and new ones towed in and stopcocks blowing and showers keeping running we are having an eventful time of it, aren't we Flyladies? I love the fact that we can cope even if that includes getting a bit of muscle on to the job.Oh my, I read that as you'd had your eyes out....and didn't bat an eyelid (sorry) that you fancied a quiet evening :rotfl: And I had my glasses on!

So did I! And thank you.
The bedrooms and shower room are sparkly, ready for the girlies arrivals this afternoon, I've finished shifting furniture to vacuum under it in the sitting room (*cof*), next door's boiler leaked water has been emptied out twice, we've chosen the fridge freezer we want and it's new because it's only a bit more than a secondhand one, and I'm just about to finish vacuumming the dining room and stairs when the dyson's recharged. I did the sink and hob last night so the house looks quite presentable thanks to everyone past and present on this thread. Oh and I dustered on a stick in the bathroom and wiped down the extractor fan, as well as digging out all of the grot in the vent. Yeatch.
And thank you Lamewolf for mentioning quorn regularly. Entirely down to you doing so I picked up a bag of quorn chunks last time I went shopping and shoved it into a veggie curry to try it. Much to my surprise we found that we preferred it to chicken, so that'll be a regular from now on because I don't think I've been getting enough protein. Excellent.Better is good enough.0
