    Dear hollydays,
I am only giving my personal experience, I am sharing my story. I was only trying to help people make a decision about something by weighing out good reviews and bad reviews and deciding whether or not to use the company.
My review is a critical review of the company. I am a customer who usually doesn't have problem with companies. My two bad experience have been once with ebay and once with vintage. I have shared this story with the viewers of moneysavingexpert.
Instead of accepting that sometimes some people get the short stick of the deal, your lecturing me on taking responsibility. I am a psychology student I know what the mind of the business is.

    Thank you for your time.
    Farewell.

p.s.. what has psychology anything to do with this? How businesses and big companies manipulate consumers is apart of psychology. If anyone is interested in this sort of topic I recommend reading No Logo by naomi klein. Who knows, you could find some super money saving tips in there. ;)

If you were a psychology student, surely you would be able to spell it?
These two problems have been of your own making.
I'm not sure what that has to do with studying psychology .

I have used them and was very pleased with the service. I can see why they might not have been able to help you if you changed your mind as the items may have already been sent off to wherever or broken up etc. Did they not talk about sentimental value with you? When they phoned me with my offer the first question they asked me is whether there is any sentimental value attached to the goods. They told me they understood if people changed their minds and said they wanted to check I was still feeling happy about my decision.

I found them a very professional and helpful company to deal with. Obvious they are not going to be paying full market value like all companies of this kind so you do need to do your research before choosing what to send them.

Sadly, I didn't get asked about if my items had sentimental value. There wasn't much conversation. They told me my items are not worth much and then gave an offer. A very short conversation.

One thing I want to make clear is that I don't have an issue with the staff. When I first called them there was a nice lady on the phone. But it's the actual company system and policy I have issue with. Which is why I wouldn't reccomend them.

Then the policy you have issue with , is that you can't say "yes" and then change it to " no".

I don't like this company, but I wouldn't agree to their terms , then blame them because I had.:)
you are simply using your review and this forum to try to bully them into getting your own way.
    Don't ever sign a contract..

I'm intrigued as to why a company should ask whether something has sentimental value, surely that's an artificial value an owner places on something and takes into account when deciding whether to sell.

The guy I spoke to said they ask because people sometimes regret sending the items and it is better to check the person is still happy rather than have problems later. Maybe it was just something that individual member of staff likes to do. Or maybe it is a policy they brought in so they have recorded evidence if someone does throw a fit later. The one thing I did find frustrating about VCC is their insistence on wanting to speak to you at every step of the transaction. They must be the only company of this type who doesn't do it all online or by email.

I don't think spelling is important in a forum about sharing experiences. We all get the idea. This is not an essay. I am not being marked by an examiner. I can spell however I want to. Thats my choice. Deal with it.

I had no idea that people are this picky on a forum like this!?
I don't care about how people type.
I also don't care if I look silly to you.
I have a review. I have an opinion. I have a right to that opinion. And I certainly have the right to express it.

People who view these forums also have a choice. Accept the review. Reject the review. It won't affect me nor you if they choose to use a company or not. If my review is silly because of the careless way I spell, that's upto them.

You don't like my review. Then leave it at that. I don't see why you have to lecture me, then pick on the way I type.

    Goodbye

    Moneysavingexpert Etiquette guideline:

    Please be sensitive:
This may be a web forum, but you're still talking to other human beings. Repeatedly or harshly saying someone's wrong, especially on boards like DebtFreeWannabe, Bankruptcy or Benefits, can lead to upset.

We're proud that many people whose financial problems exacerbate mental health issues seek help in the forum, but this means you may be berating someone who's clinically depressed. Please think twice before posting judgmental comments.

(Thanks for respecting that I have an opinion. Whether you agreed to it or not.)

Just to clarify, this is not a review site it is a discussion forum. Anything posted can be, and nearly always is, challenged or discussed.

It is also useful to get varying opinions as it enables people who may be considering using a site or a service to see the pros and cons.

Thanks for your response. I put my views on here because of my experience. I saw everyone elses views on here and wanted to add to the discussion with my experience. Instead, people are picking on the way I type, and lecturing me to take responsibility and implying I am pinning blame onto others.

It was stated that I am using this site as a means to have my way. I think this is unfair. I was sharing my experience. What did I do wrong in sharing what I felt or experienced?

I felt that others should know that once an offer is made, You can't change it. So people should be aware of this.
When I used their service, I read all the information that comes with their info pack. It says you get your items back free of cost if you don't want the offer.

It does not say that the right to cancel the offer has to be done there and then. I tried to contact them on the day I last spoke to them.

I was just sharing my story. I am not bullying my way through.

I will stop posting from here on. I am sorry to cause anyone any upset. That was not my intention.

    Thank you for reading.

p.s. I note your post on VCC policy, Hollydays. This was not on the booklet I received. But I hope your information can help someone who is looking to use this company. Thanks.
