  • Mine hasn't arrived yet, it usually arrives towards the end of November.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
  • Got letter ,nothing in bank yet. Last year money turned up first

    In bank today
  • Mine went into my bank on friday and the weather has turned nippier so I know all's well to switch the heating on if it gets really cold

Particularly one who thinks we fork out for blues rinses every month! :rotfl:

I cannot think of any reason to have my hair blue ,rinsed or not I have pepper and salt hair :) and eventually it will be all salt I expect, but I certainly wouldn't dream of turning it blue or some of the odd shades of pink I have seen:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My hair is now pure white.

I was moaning to my hairdresser who laughed and said that she had young women coming in and paying a lot of money to have their hair dyed my colour.

Apparently it's very fashionable and tres chic.......;)

You and me both LL. I've got the same colour and get people complimenting me on it - like I meant it. Duh! Do I really want anything in common with that awful and very odd mega-powerful odd woman in charge of the IMF the last time I looked? (ie she seems to have "our" hair colour).

Personally - I'd much rather have my dark blonde/light brown hair colour back thanks all the same. I feel too "faded" with this hair colour - along with my pale "English rose" colouring.

Oh well - got to do the best I can I guess with what's available - so I've got some "new style" glasses coming up and am looking at getting more "colour" into my clothes.

NB; Still not had my winter fuel allowance yet - unless it's turned up in my bank account without my having had the letter first. I've checked back in my household diary where I wrote down from an article that we're all supposed to have it by Christmas - and my note to myself of the procedure for chasing it up if it doesnt turn up (with this being the first year I get it).

I wish my hair would go properly white as a second choice to having my dark hair back. It's white a the sides, then steel grey elsewhere.

Why can't hairdressers come up with a decent dark dye that won't make older women look like Cruella de Ville?

I hope our WFA is in soon. I had my 92 year old aunt worrying that she'd been given it last week. I pointed out that she'd had it for 32 years!

Actually, nineteen years at most - it was only introduced in the winter of 1997 when it was just £20, or £50 if you were reciving means tested benefits.

Mine is in today, think the letter came last Thursday.

Trip to London in the NY I think :D
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)
  • Husbands has gone in today but not mine???? He feels the cold more than I do so I will just have to put on another cardigan and some big sox until mine arrives lol.
