Ah, Slowly, that's gone now, but when DH was employed in a public service, one of the perks was that he could buy gift cards for all sorts of places at a discount. I used to top them up regularly. But then he had to retire on health grounds. Just befor he did, I topped up a few cards by large chunks of money, I thought it would give us a better return than the paltry interest on our savings. Marks 8% off (so a pound costs 92p), sainsbobs 5% and bandq 11%. Now I have enough money on the cards to last us until I get my occupational pension next August! But no longer available after that, I'm afraid.
Caterina, I did that as well just before retiring. You can still get some of them after retiring, but some are only for current employees.
However, a word of warning:
I decided on a laptop from PC World, it was on offer. I got my discounted gift card and went in with it. They refused it, saying that they didn't accept gift cards for items on offer; and justified on the grounds that I had already had a discount.
I asked how they could tell (I knew that it just looked like the usual gift cards) and they said that they couldn't, but assumed that most gift cards had been bought at a discount. The Ts&Cs shown in the store did not state that.
I wrote a letter of complaint, but was unable to follow it up as I was moving and really couldn't take it on!
Fortunately we were able to use the gift card for something else and bought the laptop I wanted at the offer price. But I've not been back!
Not had that problem with any of the other cards.0 -

I am not sure whether this still works but you used to be able to buy Love to Shop vouchers etc. and it worked out to be something like 5% discount. One of the girls in the head office used to collect the money and do a big order, but it was done privately and not through the company. There is also another company, Edenred I think, which issues vouchers just for certain stores like M & S, etc. It would be worth researching I think. I am fortunate to have large quanities (for me anyway!) of M & S gift vouchers and Love2Shop ones which come as incentives in my work. Tonight for instance I treated myself to the Dine in for £10 and wine offer and Markies, spending £37 and saving a further £30 on their normal prices. And I didn't have to open my purse!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Mmm, only the last year or so that I have really enjoyed tea. I love Yorkshire teabags and just bought some on offer in Aldi. I also have some Twinings breakfast tea, also bought on offer. I quite like it but prefer the Yorks!
I usually add milk, favouring the lactofree version atm.

Sorry, don't like green tea, nor Earl Grey (bergamot is too scented for me).
MI have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

I have a teapot with a little metal basket / strainer thing inside to put the tea leaves in - works perfectly.
I get my loose leaf tea from Ringtons. They sell online but also do a tea van delivery service if you want to buy regularly. You can buy 1kg bags which work out way cheaper than buying the normal 125g packets if you can afford the up front cost e.g. their afternoon tea costs £3.75 for 125g but £12 for 1kg which works out at £1.50 for 125g.0 -
I am a Yorkshire Tea user but the ones specifically for Hard Water. Recently Waitrose had them at half price so I have stocked up for a month or two. Unfortunately the hard water bags are not sold in large boxes and don't seem to be stocked by the discounters.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

We drink Punjana , but I thought that on moving to Yorkshire after all that time in NI, we would have to change brands or get ds2 to post it. But there it is in Mr M's - right next door to the Yorkshire tea.
Punjanna is also the tea I would stock up on, preferable to Yorkshire, Tetleys, Sainsbobs, Asd#s etc.
Worth trying - it's a Northern Ireland one thought so I don't think you can get it in GB but I have posted a link below if you want to order online and try it.

Thank you to all who have replied with suggestions of tea, what I did I had a couple of £1 off vouchers on £5 spends (so 20% off) for coop loose leaf tea and I used them up when there was an offer. I got quite a few packets and because I drink my tea very light they will last me a good year if not more! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
