We have a couple of Bodum yo-yo infuser sets - of course, you can use it with your own mug if you prefer - perfect for travel :)

I bought an outer of Lidl Knightsbridge red label teabags (160s) whilst on 1/2 price weekend offer, about a year ago I think. I get through at least 2 every day and still have stacks left. I'll be okay for tea and sympathy for a while :)

How I wish Lidl would bring back their decent weekend offers again.

Don't know if you have T2 in the UK but for interesting teas they're worth searching out. I've switched to loose leaf too, I like being able to see the tea leves once they've hydrated in the infuser - I don't feel like I've been swindled by being sold the sweepings from the floor. It is more pricey but as I can get 2 or 3 cups out of a teaspoon of tea I don't feel it's too bad value for money.

Having switched to green tea for 95% of my hot drinks I've also just come though an NZ winter with not one sniff of a cold. Never happened to me before and that's the only thing I can put it down to.

I always thought T bags were made of paper and threw them in my compost. Although it's a bit of a pain to do, i now tear the used one to seperate just the leaves for compost. The bags go in the bin.

The issue I have with loose tea is the mess (I can get over this, I suppose) and the thought of them inadvertently finding their way down my plug hole. I am very particular about not putting solid matter down my kitchen sink but in a contest of me vs tea leaves, the leaves would win every time.

I've got a little tong infuser thing - just tap the tea leaves into the compost bin, no need to put them anywhere near the sink. :-)
