  • Hi,

I am facing the same problem. Getting emails from them back to back about debt collection and suing me.

I just happened to click the link on Facebook and remember not to complete order but they say that order wouldn't have been completed, had the terms and conditions not agreed upon. After so many emails they sent me a form to sign stating I didnt receive any delivery.

I was not sure if I should send it. Happened to get the similar topic on this forum. Thank you so much for bringing this up. Now I know I will not reply to any of their emails and block them.
  • Hi im wondering if anyone can help.

my 11 year old little girl who does not have access to the internet has got a letter (Reminder on the header) from a company called Lux style in denmark saying she owes £94.00 for blackhead killer. We have never had anything in the post this letter has come out the blue.
theres no phone number on the letter, now my little girl is scared and stressing her self out not sleeping thinking the debt collectors are coming for her. The letter has come just with her first name.

Please can someone advice me were to go with this ?

Hello Adele, welcome to the forums.

You don't have to read many posts on this thread to get the answers to your question.

In summary - ignore them - do not respond to their threats.

You only need to do something different if you actually receive official court papers, which is extremely unlikely.

Read the thread and get more re-assurance.

    Hi all,

My son recently fell fowl of this scam after clicking on a link on Facebook. I will admit initially I read him the riot act assuring him that no-one can send you things unless you confirm an order. At 16 he also got a further 'telling off' because of the credit aspect of the invoice. It was only when I google the company to try and resolve the issue I found out the true intentions of the company and the way they operate. After a small slice of humble pie we made friends again and I set about resolving the issue.

I read EVERY post here and wasn't very hopeful that I would have any success based on some of the comments BUT believe it or not I've just had an email confirming the case is closed, no further action is required by me and the invoices have been cancelled. How did I do it, well I'll tell you:

Firstly it's probably important to know I'm in the UK and as stated my son is a minor aged just 16. He did provide his details on their ad and proceeded to the next page for pricing before abandoning the process. Like everybody else he NEVER confirmed an order or agreed to have anything sent to him. As we know that doesn't stop this company and low and behold the item arrived with an invoice for £84.60. Just the sort of money a school boy has floating around.

Based on the information on this site we ignored this but kept everything to one side to see what would happen. I did however raise a complaint via the EU Online Dispute Resolution process.

3 days ago (Wednesday) the reminder invoice (now £94.60) arrived but as my son was away it wasn't opened until Thursday night.

On Friday morning I decided to email them - yes against the advice on here I know - and explain on his behalf. I wasn't rude but politely and firmly explained the situation including lots of the information I'd found out from here.

To my surprise I had an email back very quickly asking if I could send them a copy of his birth certificate to confirm "the order was made by a minor". Yes, this unscrupulous company wanted me to provide them with a copy of extremely confidential material. Needless to say I declined this and made my reasons VERY clear. I also stressed again no such 'order' was ever made.

Their next reply was full of the screen shots etc that others have talked about and suggested other ways I could verify his age. One such method was to send an image of his European Health Insurance Card with any personal details removed. I did just that leaving the type of card, his name and DOB the only visible bits and waited.

In a very short time they have replied saying the whole thing is to be cancelled as I detailed above.

I offered to return the products at their cost as a 'goodwill gesture' and acknowledged this was above and beyond what I was required to do. I gave them 28 days to provide a postage paid returns label. I offered to post them marked 'return to sender' if they would email accepting ALL risks (inc. any charges raised). I also used the term 'time being of the essence' and made it clear I expected urgent replies. I requested read receipts (but never got any) and marked all emails as urgent.

I know by making contact I went against the advice on this site but I wish to thank all have taken the time to post on here. Without a lot of the information obtained here I may well have never resolved this so quickly.

And with regards to the EU Online Dispte Resolution service, well what a wast of time. I had an email today telling me that the case had been closed because the parties had not been able to resolve the dispute within 30 day. In short, the company ignored the communication from them for 30 days so they close the case. What is the point???

Apologies for the long winded post but I wanted to let people know that it is possible to get such issues resolved with a little bit of help from forums such as this.

    Thanks again everyone.
  • My daughter has also been caught out by this company, Finnish Trading Standards gives the following instructions:

Email the seller and tell them you have received a shipment.
State that you have not made an order.
For instance, you may write as follows: “I have received a product and invoice from you on (DATE). As I never ordered the product, I will not pay the invoice. Furthermore, I am not obliged to return the product which I have not ordered. If you are able to prove that I have placed a binding order, please email this proof to me as soon as possible.”
Do not send back the package you received without ordering it.
    Do not pay the invoice.

I've reported them to Danish Trading Standards, who are aware of their trading practices.
  • My 15 year old daughter received a package and a bill for $100. I did a little research and this is a negative billing scam. We are in Canada.

This is classified under unsolicited goods. The law says she can keep them and is under no obligation to return them. Also because she is a minor she cannot legally enter into a contract with them.

My advice is to completely ignore any invoices, letters or threats that they send. Do not contact them in any way. As for the products they are probably cheap junk that is made in China. Throw them in the garbage.
  • I am still getting emails from them, and my last email they sent me, states that they have their lawyer or something working on a lawsuit against mr and taking me to court. The only way I can skip court, is if i reasonably pay them within 5 days. So IDK what to do. If I should pay them, and get it over with, or not pay because they are !!!!!!!!ting. But I have no clue.

Hi jlsm, welcome to the forums.

I really don't understand why you don't know what to do.
