Which parking company? Was the car park in England/Wales, or Scotland/NI?

If possible, you should obtain photos of the signs at the entrance and in the car park itself. If you happen to see the attendant's car, you should take pictures of it as well as you are lawfully allowed to do in a public space.

Keep the photos just in case this ever went to court.

Have you complained to the retailers that you visited yet? One of the managers (not customer services) may be able to get this cancelled. That should be your first priority. Proof someone in your family shopped there, even on a previous occasion, may persuade the manager that they may lose a regular customer if it isn't cancelled.

  • Hi pappa golf. The answer to your last question is less than 10 minutes. It was approx 4 minutes.
  • Hi fruitcake,
The driver has checked the photos of signage on site and there is no mention of ANPR.
Also the terms and conditions state that the PPC is a member of BPA and POPLA appeals apply, however on the NTK it states that the PPC only use the IAS for appeals?
  • The driver has photos of the signs in question and a photo of the attendants car parked in the same car park but hidden behind a brick wall without a valid ticket displayed. i believe someone has a recording of the attendant giving someone else 5 minutes to go and get some change.

I think you may have edited out the name of the parking company from your original post.

Please edit it back in. You may need to use "go advanced" to put it in the title as well which will help.

Please explain what says they are in the BPA and use PoPLA (signs) and what says they are in the IPC and use the IAS kangaroo court (NTK.)
Either way, it's one or the other.
