you can still get a 3 data reward sim  3/2/1
I have had a data reward SIM for years and the prices didnt increase last year like on the 321 but I got a text this morning advising or price increases next month
😔 Sad to hear that. I've been using the data reward SIM too for years. Not had the text yet but now that I know it's coming I'll be prepared to swap to RWG (250 MB of data + 50 minutes and texts) per month.
Not had the text yet either, but already have RWG SIM too.

FYI RWG requires use every 90 days to keep active.

Does that RWG usage include just a text, or does it have to be a call?

This is from the RWG T&C :

If you do not make at least one chargeable call or send one chargeable SMS/MMS every six months (in either case that results in a charge against your Account or a deduction from the credit or Allowance recorded against your Account),then we may terminate this Agreement by giving you 30 days’ notice in writing that your Account will be closed and your SIM Card deactivated.

I had thought it was 6 months too, but after just over 3 it stopped working.
From their support team via email (today):

Your SIM had entered a restricted state due to lack of use. You need to make a call or text within 90 days to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We have reactivated your SIM for you.

@flaneurs_lobster I will raise the T&C point with them

    Update:

The quote from the T&C above is a general term.

Further down the page is the following in the Promotions section:

    50 mins/SMS & 250MB offer
    ...
You must make an outbound call or text in any 90-day period for your SIM to remain active. If you don't do this, the SIM will enter a restricted state which means you will only be able to receive inbound calls and texts. If this happens you can contact our customer service teanm to reactivate the SIM.

My bad for not reading past the Terms & Conditions to get to the ACTUAL Terms & Conditions  :)

    Thanks for the correction.

If your on the free bundle which i am,chargable call or text is use of the free bundle, you dont have to use all your free bundle to get a chargable event if that makes sense? Cant think of a better way to explain it

Hello, I have started the change over from Three PAYG to Asda PAYG.  First thing I’ve done is ordered a SIM card from Asda.  Now what to do next please.  How to get my credit refund and my PAC code then move over.  What should I do in which order?

I have been with Three ever since having a mobile phone, the lovely little old grey and silver ones, no web browsing, just plain and simple calls and texts.  Fitted in a handbag no probs.

Everything we know and have loved comes to an end.

    Many thanks

Before you start moving from your Three account put the Asda SIM into your phone and make sure all is OK with activation and coverage.

Others on here have used online chat with Three to request a refund and to ask for a PAC. My recent experience is that it is far easier to initiate such a chat using the Three app rather than online. It seems that the refund is easier to process if you have a payment card associated with your account.
