A very good morning to all Sealed Potters! I hope you've all enjoyed a fantastic weekend! To all our members who are poorly or down in any way, take great care and let these {{{{hugs}}}} help you feel much better soon. :grinheartDS has left 18p on kitchen table for 6 days now... do you think he'd notice if I potted it? Lol!
Best to ask him outright, Onmyway2, or to quip that "if that 18p stays there much longer then I'm simply going to have to pot it!" ;)You never know! However, if youngsters leave odd coins in the pockets of clothes put out to be washed that's a different matter! BTW, however much or little you save there's nothing meagre about it; the crucial thing is.....you're saving so be proud!!!!
Nice work, donkids22, after all in his own selfless way he probably left it there purposely!! :j
I'm so glad you're looking at small amounts of potting in the right way, iammumtoone, it does indeed all add up! :T
I'm really chuffed you see it in the same way, HoneyBee83, great minds and high fives!
Oh bless you Rancid! That's absolutely the best "Christmas gift" I've heard of this year as it was given right from the heart!!! :grinheart I truly hope she does as you wish and keeps herself warm this winter, you might gently remind her that if she doesn't she could end up between the doors of a hospital....they can't let her in....but she can't go home!
Your job might be a bit nasty but to be given THAT amount of money by a firm is amazing!! My eldest DGD received the sum of FIVE POUNDS from a very well known pharmaceutical/cosmetics retailers!! I was horrified, ok they were all thought of.....but not in very high regard!!!
Take good care of your wonderful Mum, it sounds as though she's a treasure!

Excellent restraint dinglefoot!!!! :T You did well and look what you potted as a result!! I hope you're so proud of yourself!!:D
You also Chutney, but then you have been for a good long while now! :j
You've read the info on the first post well, MLE007, the unwritten rule in marriage too which I'm sure would read "help yourself to the money that will help us!! :rotfl:
Great advice to Rancid, 32b3! Good savings of yours too!
It is good to hear you're recovering well, Miss D M, look after yourself. Good saving.
Great work with the notes and cash, Antomac, it makes perfect sense to me, so much so that I've done the same as you. Well, why not. I'm pleased you're pleasantly surprised at how you're saving..... Keeping those few days away in mind day at Ant?! :j
Nice work with your weekly £10er again eh, Lynne! I must agree that it's really good to see everyone saving so very well!
I'm impressed! A meagre 61p potted for me today
However many more times, Onmyway, nothing is meagre as the little bits all help the big ones grow!!
Have a great, Potters, stay safe, healthy and potting!!! :j

Since getting paid on the 5th ,
haven't really got out any money to spend and haven't really needed to yet,
the only time i took cash out was to give to my mum and was the correct amount so
I haven't had change for a while.
But i have been putting some money in my savings account online
and As I am currently ill and off work for the week I haven't been spending much either.
I still have to count up what is in my pot, i haven't got around to it yet
and just thought it's been a while since i last checked into this thread.Future Home Fund£1,702.67/£3,000 **EF £22.00/£1000** #575SPC £59.80/£100.000 -
Afternoon Potters!
Hope I find you all well and still potting for all you are worth
Potted my 10p this morning. Also £5 in £1 coins, if I'm ending this challenge on 2nd Nov I intend to throw the extras straight in and see if that makes up for the bit I'll miss in Nov and Dec, then I think I'm just gonna throw my loose change in a sealed pot and not a set amount each day.
...I will probably change this back and forth through the year :rotfl: One of my many *Ahem* charms!Emergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000

Took out £10 worth of round pounds in the holding pot and swapped for a note in the sealed tin.
This works well for me as ds likes to take pound coins in for his dinner money, he doesn't like change as the dinner lady doesn't give him enough time to count it to pay0 -
Evening
Hope you feel better soon Thora.
