Been potting regularly this week. Amazing what can be saved by taking own lunch to work, travelling to work by bus instead of train, not buying shop coffees and halving the number of Nakd bars each week. Doing the 365 day penny challenge like many others but as part of this challenge. Picking numbers between 1 and 365 each day depending on savings made.
Keep up the potting everyone, and any lurkers/readers out there - Come and join us! SPCing is a great addiction!

Still potting away daily. Like others I have been taking my own lunch to work meaning I can pot with increasing frequency.

Looking forward to the weekend :D

Yes, OnMyWay, there's nothing meagre about that at all :) A few days ago I potted only 1p and some days I pot nothing. The point is we're all saving and it all adds up to a nice surprise in November :D

That has to be the perfect way of putting it, dinglefoot! You hit the nail right on the head - as saving is saving no matter how much it is! Excellently said!!! :T Just seen your latest post.....keep hunting as it very often pays off!! Also that was a GREAT thing to do with £10 of your Birthday money, well potted!! :jBTW, a very Happy Birthday to you!! Belated it might be, but it's just as well meant, truly.

You're right Thora, it has been a while since you were on last, but, as you've not well you're forgiven. ;) Here's hoping you're soon back to very good health very soon! BTW just as soon as you're able then please go on over to SPC 9 and declare whatever savings you manage to last year, very many thanks indeed!
Potted my 10p this morning. Also £5 in £1 coins, if I'm ending this challenge on 2nd Nov I intend to throw the extras straight in and see if that makes up for the bit I'll miss in Nov and Dec, then I think I'm just gonna throw my loose change in a sealed pot and not a set amount each day.
...I will probably change this back and forth through the year :rotfl: One of my many *Ahem* charms!
Don't forget HoneyBee83 that although we end this years savings on the 2nd of November we will be starting again on the 3rd so please don't forget that we barely ever stop!!!! Or have I misunderstood you?

Well done with that 50p potted, MLE007!! :D It's so lovely when members say their DS or DD have also started saving! Hopefully it'll stick with her, definitely when she hears your whoops of delight in November, hers too! BTW Considering you're online shopping, you're saving brilliantly! Excellent work!!

Great savings from you also great, muppets!! :j

Ahh bless your DE, iammumtoone, that dinner lady almost sounds like an ogre! Great savings!

Brilliant saving 32b3, and I'm glad it's not me alone that thinks iammumtoone's DS has a very impatient dinner lady! People working with kiddies should be hand-picked for that job. My SIL should've retired a couple of years ago but can't tear herself away from the children! :D

Very well done Dizzy Imp!! I know it's not a lot but I'm thrilled you mentioned it all the same, and not in an "oh no" kind of way; owt's better than nowt for certain!! :D

Wrap up warm indeed, siju, and brilliant potting!!

Oh you've been fleeced alright, jakes-mum, as I get the feeling this is going to be a forever job, and if she's at all like her Mum (why would I think anything different :p), look out next time she reads or hears on the news that inflation has gone up!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

What a wonderful stage you're going through, tatabubbly!! :grinheartYes, I know there's a sadness linked to it also, but do the very best you can to savour all the truly memorable times he/she will bring you, nothing quite likens it to my mind! :j
Very well spotted and potted with that 10p, 166million! It gives the heart a real flutter in seeing free money lying there waiting for a good home! :D

Be careful with buying things you really don't need, donkids22 otherwise your potted cash won't be savings at all and you'll end up over budgeting the household!

It's marvellous to see how far you're willing to go in order to be able to save, Antomac! Not only are you helping your family in such a great way, you're also motivating all the rest of us, thanks so much Ant!! :T You're right about SPC being so addictive too, brilliant eh!!! ;)

Excellent potting Iheart!!!! :T Yet another SPCer doing everything possible in order to have great rewards in November!! :D

You pinched some of your DH's cash, Dragon Lily??!!! Fantastic work and what a terrific sum saved in one go!! :j Shocking behaviour, so.....keep it up!

A grand £25 potted over the last 2 weeks which I had forgotten all about until just now!!

Have a great weekend, Savers, stay warm, safe, healthy and.......potting!!! :j

I rarely use cash which is why my target is lower than many on here, but it's surprising how the change adds up when shopping in places that don't have card facilities, when you're not buying enough to meet the minimum for a card payment or when using a bus (not near London so it's cash or app only.) I did try the app as they give a discount for using it but it will only sell weekly or longer tickets in my area so far!

Got a new pot for my birthday, one of those ceramic type ones so certainly sealed and will be using a knife to hopefully get the money out come count up time.
