Oh you've been fleeced alright, jakes-mum, as I get the feeling this is going to be a forever job, and if she's at all like her Mum (why would I think anything different :p), look out next time she reads or hears on the news that inflation has gone up!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I was right royally fleeced! No idea who she takes after :rotfl:

how do you get money for pots. i never use cash, should i take ut cash

I actually use my card much more than cash so I started to take money out the cashpoint for incidental spends, don't buy a choccie bar, pot the money . . DO buy a choccie bar . . pot the change :rotfl: I also pot any cashback I get from Quidco or Topcashback etc. We now have a 'lunch out' envelope so if anything is left in it at the end of the month, that will also be potted :D

I am having a total Disney meltdown right now :( , flights booked? check, Disney Tix booked? check, Travel Ins booked? check, Car hire booked? check . . villa booked? not on your bloomin nelly! I am searching and searching and every villa I like has 0 reviews  every one that's not really our kind of place, hundreds of reviews! I've joined the Dibb, i've used booking.com / hotels.com / trip advisor . . . WHY don't I know anyone who can go 'ooo I stayed in this awesome villa in 'Windsor Palms/Emerald Island/Silver Lake etc was an awesome villa with its own pool, lovely resort, here's the link!' :rotfl:

Anyway, before I go back to even MORE youtube videos . . . £5 potted yesterday from a thunderball ticket I found in the back of my handbag  been there 2 months!

    £5 potted today.

I'll se if I can find a link to the villa I stayed in Jakes-mum. It was years ago this though so the company might not still be in business.

  • I'm seriously going to have to consider collecting something other than £2s this year I think, as I'm getting so few of them (that said I think there's a couple in my purse to go in the pot). Or I'm going to have to actually start randomly spending money :rotfl:

Hi Sue and all the Potters.
Hope everyone is doing okay this weekend.

Our annual Christmas Saving Club started at work. Unfortunately when I filled in the form allowing the HR/wages people to take money from my earnings, I went into STUPID MODE and somehow thought I'd be able to save £110 per week. Worse yet, there's no backtracking, you commit or you cancel. Then I found out it started on Friday gone (In the past It's always been the last week in Jan) so that hit me for six.
I suppose I'll be okay in a week or two, I just need to adjust, and I'm in front with rent, electric etc..

December seems soo far away now :(

A few 20p have gone in my tin this past week, I try not to count, as I'm hoping for a nice shock when it does get opened :)

    Have a good weekend everyone.

  • £110 per week?!?! it'll be lovely come Christmas time, but ouch!!

£45 potted here yesterday; a debt owed was repaid, one I was not expecting, so in that went! I'm going to try and do the penny challenge as part of this as well. The key is going to be making sure DH doesn't pinch from the pot if he gets a bit short..
    LBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go :o
