Put on my 'best' winter coat to go out in last night and found a £1 in the pocket! Went straight in my pot!

Checked my purse and I had £1.05 in silver left over from my evening out - potted!!

    Very motivated lol!

How much do you think the £1 tins hold?

I think it depends on the size. I have about £50 in one pot and its half way full.

Went to shop and had to spend some money on groceries (bread). Spent 5:49. I potted £4.51

Ah, thank you once again dear Lynne and another gold star deserved by you.:staradmin To answer your weather query: Although I know it'll be a welcome relief to you in Scotland....urgh tis far too mild down here in Somerset, :( I far prefer the frosty mornings, and snow of course! :j

If so, take a walk past the banks!!!! :rotfl: Just be sure NOT to go innside!!!!

    Hellooooo Potterssssssss

Ahh it does indeed Sue, DH said i'm always beaming after I visit the tree each year, its one of my favourite days :D

Sold DS's old coat as well, was a superdry one, put it up for £3 on the selling page as it had a couple of tiny flaws from wear but was still perfectly useable and would do someone else a good turn. Lady came to the door and gave DH £4 as she was so happy with her bargain :D so £4 in my tin.

I am going to happily retreat to my Orlando searching as I have a wicked sore throat today that is just not shifting (really hoping its not the start of something as both kids have been coughing all over me for weeks and my immune system is worse than rubbish).

Been potting, bits of change here and there, about £6+ in total.

I have over £10 in a holding pot as have been adding big money to it instead of my sealed pot, and I hopefully won't use it and can pot it happily after Christmas, but it's there just in case.

    'Mornin' all!
Wow! I wander off for a week and look at all the potting that's been done. You are all amazing and we aren't even half way through the first month. I'm finding this so addictive that the NSDs, whilst great for helping curtail the unnecessary spending have impacted the buzz I get from gathering the coins.
Still I have managed to pot something today - 83p
Good news is I checked the level of the coins (my short, fat pig is kinda transparent) and I'm up to the top of the legs.

Jakes-mum, I hope I'm not to late to mention Your Orlando trip research. I went about two years ago with a friend and her three kids and we found the multi-park tickets to be great value for money. They have lots of variations on number of parks and number of days, which means you can go in and out as many times during the period as you like and you still have the freedom of selecting which park to go to and when. If you are hiring a car, the car parking is reduced in the evenings. Not sure what time of the year you are going, we found out we were in thunder storm season, so usually ended up going in the mornings as the likelihood of storms got greater as the day went on. I ended up downloading a free weather app while I was there which predicted the weather on an hourly basis and was pretty d...n accurate. I loved universal and the kids loved the water parks.
    Have fun with the research
    Take care everyone

I found that Ive been paying for everything on card so haven't been getting many coins and end up spending more than I realised so have decided trying to withdraw money for the week and paying like that, then potting the spare change each day so have been potting a lot more coins the last few days.

jakes-mum, I have just come back from Orlando with 3 boys if you want any advice. We visited disney, universal, sea world, discovery cove and legoland. We did 5 nights in Disney villa and then hired a car and had a villa. Happy to answer any questions!
