Hi everyone, I haven't potted a great deal overvthe summer. I had a lovely holidaybin France (no pot raiding!) & since then I've been mega busy and haven't had time to think about my pots much.
I have potted quite a bit of loose change into my shrapnel pot but my £1 coin pot and my plastic £5ers haven't seen much action.
I'm going to have a final push in these last few weeks!!SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
SPC 9 (2016) #485 TOTAL £84
SPC 10 (2017) # 485 TOTAL: £464.80
SPC 11 (2018) #4850 -
Another £2 coin in the tin last night along with a 50p and a 5p in the shrapnel tin
WHy is it, when there is only 1 - 2cm of room left in the tin, suddenly it turns into the blooming tardis and you can fit what feels like millions of pounds in them?? I swear those tins are not getting any fuller!
I need to get my fleabay money but the stupid fair has turned up and taken over the town so you can't get anywhere near the banks without walking till your legs fall off (ok I might be exaggerating slightly . . I really don't like the fair lol)
Well done on your potting Florence J! I hpe you will return to us in november to start again
Is it me or has Hickles not been in for a little while? come back Hickles!
We hopefully have someone coming to pick up the petrol lawnmower today so that should be another lovely £40 for the potI shall now disappear and see if I can find anything else to sell.

I work in a bank, Im talking with 10000% truth, and they will continue to take for ever more, just like old £20, £10, and £5 notes. I still see these occasionally.
I still accept and will continue to do so (if there is any more floating about, but the next one after £1 will be the removal of the paper £10, no date given for this yet though)
Westie983
I tried to bank one of these a few months ago without success.
Once something is officially withdrawn you're relying on the cashier's discretion, though in the short term it shouldn't be a problem. The lady I spoke to that wouldn't take the old £10 would still take the old £5.0 -
Well today I have 11 (yes 11!!) £2 coins
Soooooo Veeeeery Haaaaaaappy!!!!!!!!!
