Afternooooooooon Potterssssssssssssssssssssss
30 days to go is it? till opening day? OMG! Need to pot more money!
DH went off to the pub and came back with a £2 coinHe tried to keep his silver change but I was having none of that
and swiftly removed it from his hand with only the minimal amount of grappling (he really should know better by now!) so a lovely £3.20 in the pot last night
I also have £20 from our dear uncle as I sold his conservatory furniture for him so he gave me half the money
just need to change it up into coins before I pot it (more to count on count up day! notes are not fun!)
Have been having a rummage to see if I can find anything to sell on fleabay to make a few more potty pennies, so far I have roughly £70 that needs removing and potting but am waiting for fleabay to take their [STRIKE]gouging amount of fees[/STRIKE] percentage before I remove it plus I have a few more auctions finishing so might hold out till they end to see if theres anymore lovely coins for my little starving trolls tin
I withdrew £260.47 from my PayPal yesterday from eB*y sales and there's another £50+ to come after a new bid registered today, plus I've just relisted another 15 or so things and I'm thinking of doing another raid on the wardrobe. Much as I agree about the fees, it does get a bit addictive when you're having a good selling spree!!SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Ahh DreamerHelen, Disney really does give you something to look forward too and I can honestly say it was the first time i'd been on holiday and I never got the 'only 3 days to go, only 2 days to go' cloud. Everyday was so full of things to do (even our pool days) I just didn't have the feeling it was coming to an end until we were sat at the airport and even then I was a bit relieved as I was so !!!!!!!g knackered (but in a good way)
I do actually have a teeny tiny secret and no-one but my mum knows . . so why not tell the entire internet all about it. . . I am looking to take DH and myself to Hong Kong for his birthday next year. He has always wanted to go but has been saying how we really shouldn't have a big holiday this year after Disney and my craft shed needing building and I thought 'well balls to that' :rotfl: so the kids are booked in with my mum and im avidly watching the flights ready to book. Plus I figure everyone does the 'big' birthday surprise trip, it would be almost expected, so catch him right off guard and do it for his 48th instead :rotfl: :shhh: don't tell anyone!

I hope everyone remembers to come back and post on potting day.I am planning to take the morning off especially to count money and read posts.I actually think Pot Opening Day should be declared a national holiday :j :money:
OMG SPC national holiday would be awesome! and that means very few people would have an excuse to be late declaring :rotfl:
I also like to hover about on the day and see what people managed to save, its so lovely to see so many people having a few extra quid for holidays or christmas that just wasn't bugetted for, its like a little lottery win each yearmummytummy wrote: »25 DAYS
Can't wait to see how everyone has done and if between us we can beat last years total. I already have my pot sorted for "Sealed Pot Challenge No. 11" :rotfl:
Oooo glad i'm not the only one who's already lined up with my new tin for restart day! (though I had to use a knife on the shrapnel tin to dig out all the old £1 coins a few months ago and now I keep looking at it going 'really I could just jimmy the coins out of that and reuse it, save meself a quid!' :rotfl:MrsShazbat wrote: »I withdrew £260.47 from my PayPal yesterday from eB*y sales and there's another £50+ to come after a new bid registered today, plus I've just relisted another 15 or so things and I'm thinking of doing another raid on the wardrobe. Ooo you are doing well with your fleabaying MrsShazbat, its so very additive, I had to turn off notifications on DH's ipad as his ebay kept going 'ding a ling! new bid' :rotfl: talking of wardrobes! im sure I have a pile of DH's old jeans that dont fit in the bottom of ours, I was going to cut them up for upcycling but if I could get a few quid selling them on its worth a try
Potting! been to Mr T AGAIN! (how is it I buy one loaf of bread and we use it in 36 hrs, buy 2 and i'm struggling to get rid of it before it goes too stale to eat  ) so got myself a lovely £2 coin and 65p in silverI have £20 to change up and be potted from fb sales :j still looking for more stuff to sell!

Sexyshark,Westie is right.I triple-checked with my bank last week (I have checked with them before, and Westie and others hav mentioned it many times over this year).Banks will take the £1 coins for a long time to come.
Potting news: today (for my birthday last month),I was taken clothes shopping by a bunch of my crazy girlfriends.Something else I bought myself while I was at it, was a handbag.
When I got home and was tranferring all the [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] very precious belongings from the old bag to the new,I got sick of filling up a brand new handbag with many pieces of coinage,so I simply gathered it up and potted it.Total of something like £3.80 (my phone is too far away from this very comfortable sofa to check the note I wrote myself).SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

I work in a bank, Im talking with 10000% truth, and they will continue to take for ever more, just like old £20, £10, and £5 notes. I still see these occasionally.
I still accept and will continue to do so (if there is any more floating about, but the next one after £1 will be the removal of the paper £10, no date given for this yet though)

I have cashed in my pot as I needed help paying a bill. There was only £4.96 in there. My main motivation was to save for a gift for my bestie's wedding in May, and after that money seemed to be extremely tight and I was spending less, and what I did pot I often raided again (it was no longer a 'sealed' pot).
I think I am ducking out now, in total I saved £94.96 which is not to be sniffed at.
Good luck everyone, I hope you all do well on the magical date.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020
