No probs, I'm just glad all those halves won't be going to waste!

Nothing in the pot for me today but again it's because I haven't spent anything so not all bad. Did go to town with the mothership but left all the shopping to her. Have a few bits to get tomorrow so hopefully will get some shiny treats for my hungry pot! :D xxx

    Morninggggggggggggg Pottersssssssssssss

Glad your on the mend Sue! I am trying desperately to pop in more often, which should be easier as I have finally! (after 6 months!) finished that god awful lego blanket that was supposed to be for madams christmas present :j :j That is one project that I am NOT sorry to see the back of :rotfl: Started a C2C yesterday and that is much nicer to do, though have realised I don't have anywhere near enough wool so will have to frog (that means pull apart to the non knitters/crocheters amongst us . . cos you rip it, rip it :rotfl: ) my star blanket as that has very similar wool so should be able to put them together without anyone realising they are 2 different designs.

Hubby went to the pub last night and as he's back on his diet getting ready for Disney he isnt drinking so brought me home a small pile of schrapnel, 5! x new £1 coins, 1 x £2 coin and 3 nasty old £1 coins that will be disposed off in a shop in the very near future! soooo about £9 in the tin last night :D

Finally got my passport back from passport office so I will spend today sorting out our ESTA's, doing more 'what can we do in orlando that is not the big parks' scouting, maybe start the itinerary and a bit more work on the C2C blanket :D (plus those boring bits like ironing and cooking a dinner, but we dont want to be thinking about those, thats not fun).

Hubby has also agreed to make me a blocking board for my granny squares :j :j so I can stretch them all out to be uniform sized and that will make them easier to crochet together :D saves me £23 buying one :D

Hi jakes-mum, sounds like hubby did good!

I'm off out shortly to meet a friend for a walk in the sunshine followed by a spot of lunch, and I warn those giving me change now that said change had better include some pot material or I'll be making merry hell! My pot has been looking very sorry for itself, it needs some plastic and it needs it now!

Hope you all have a good day and get some goodies for your pots! :D xxx

Poxy bleedin' dusty old £1 coins - the cashiers clearly missed the memo! HOWEVER, do not despair, my friends, for all is not lost! I've only gone and found a cash machine in town that gives you brand new shiny plastic £5 notes! So I withdrew two (in two separate transactions so as to be sure to get fivers!) and as soon as I get home I'm going to feed that poor little starving pot of mine! Oh, and to top it all off, I only went and found a beautiful shiny penny of roadkill on my walk to the park - maybe exercise really does pay off! :D

Hope you're all potting like good'uns! ;) xxx

  • Hey potters, not posted for a while as (to be honest) I don't think I've had any money! Anyway, I did end up with about £4 to pot yesterday, so in it went.

Well done, jakes-mum! I was on a bit of a roll getting shiny new £1 coins but now they seem to have dried up, but I'm happy there are some chinking their way to a happy new home in your pot! I did get my hands on a lovely £2 coin today though, exchanged with my Mumma for two dusty old ones. And I enjoyed hearing a similar lovely !!!!!! noise, followed by a wee thud as it landed on my little plastic mat of fivers :D xxx
