Hello everyone! Happy Bank Holiday Monday!

Just had someone collect a few bits I was selling, only for £3 but every little helps and did get a nice £2 coin for the pot.

Wow, mrs-moneypenny, that's some impressive saving! Well done you!

Hope everyone has a lovely day and manages to feed their pots a little Easter treat! :) xxx

Why thank you, 32b - I went back through the posts since I rejoined this happy land a mere 10 days ago and according to my calculations I've potted a whole £59! I was already a woman on a mission but being back on here and encouraged by you lovely lot and having a target towards my Emergency Fund (which I really want to have in place before I buy my own home and I'm hoping to do that soon), I have taken it to new heights! So thank you for accepting me back into the fold and spurring on my saving!

Nothing to pot today, however, but it's because nothing has been withdrawn or spent (having just had a relaxed day with family and the shops being closed!) So all good really! I hope you've all had a happy Easter with the special people in your lives :) xxx

thats a great amount in a short period of time.

I have today decided to enter competitions too. I have set up a twitter account and appear to have entered 87 comps, if the companies I now follow are anything to go by. The most I have ever won is £1000 on a scratch card. That was 22 years ago :D Not sure that any of the prizes would sell though, even if I won them!

............. It's so very good to be back with you! I've not fully recovered yet but by golly I feel a lot better now than I did when the fall happened. It all happened as a result of the epilepsy, I had a seizure and went flat down face first and was in a heck of a mess not least of all my face itself which was very badly bruised and battered. I have a broken finger and cracked ribs and generally made a mess of myself! All in a lifetime and at least I'm getting better now! :D ............
Great to hear you on the mend Sue - sounds very similar to the fall I had at the beginning of the year, as I had cracked ribs and broken little finger, so I can empathise with the pain and discomfort. Hope you soon feeling more comfortable.

Sorry I haven't been more supportive on the thread during your enforced absence but I have also been a bit poorly.

Long story short, it seems I brought back a nasty viral infection from my holibobs and had a heart attack last Saturday. They weren't sure what virus I had, as I had some strange symptoms and had come back from Europe only six days prior, so was put in total isolation for four days.

Anyways - I am now home and just finishing course of strong abs. Brain is like blancmange, legs still stuffed with straw and sleeping hours and hours as I'm soo tired.

Think I have to see the doctor in a week or two and meanwhile on low aspirin and blood-thinning drug. I hope they did finally find out what it was as I'd love to know what tried to kill me !

I will be back on the potting as soon as possible - might have to raid DH's stash.

Hope you all having a lovely Easter

Thanks 32b! I really did get some serious comping done yesterday, and lots of the competitions were closing over the weekend, so fingers crossed for a win or two in the coming days! If not, I'll be asking your advice on where to buy a scratchcard!!!

You poor thing lynnejk - you make sure you take good care of yourself and recover well. And if anyone else on this board goes and gets poorly, I'm going to have to seriously step up my life insurance research!

Met a friend for a walk and a cuppa today - paid £2.58 with a £20 note and got a nice new fiver and two shiny new £1 coins for the pot - happy days!

Happy potting everyone, and stay well! :) xxx

love and best wishes to all on the board who have been poorly or injured or both.

I hope everyone is on the road to feeling better.

All the 2's in the pot today. £2.22.

It is nearly time for me to open mine (doing an early open as am donating the amount to my friend as her wedding gift, will start potting again after the wedding) so I am amping up the potting a bit more.

Just potted £10 in £2s thanks to the lady in Boots giving me my £6 change all in £2s, to add to the couple already in my purse.

Glad your on the mend Sue, Miss Lily is now the proud owner of not one but two fidget toys so hopefully that will help her, no Karate tests for 6 months now as shes having her op on her toe at the end of the month so that takes the pressure off her a bit too.

I found a whole 1p roadkill today :j :j it is in my coppers tin ready to be got rid of as soon as I have enough to change up to a shiny silver coin for my tin :D

Also potted a rather impressive £250 toward Disney spending :D so I am a happy chappy :D:D
