  • I accomplished quite a bit today and went for a longer walk than usual out in the lovely weather. I stayed off the computer for most of the day except for listing two things on evilbay and looking at a couple of local job sites. It's quite relaxing to have big chunks of time offline, I think I will make a point of unplugging completely more often and for longer periods of time.

I'm just settling in now for an evening of surveys
  • I have some errands to do this morning, then am planning on listing a bit more on evilbay this afternoon. I'm tired today, still feeling positive but could do with a day in bed. Unfortunately I can't seem to sleep past 7:30am anymore, no matter how late I get to bed. I wonder if it's an ageing thing, as I've always been able to sleep late in the past. I barely woke up during my teenage years! :p it's ironic because I used to wish I was one of those annoying people who are up at the crack of dawn bursting with energy. Unfortunately I am usually still very tired when I get up so drink a couple of cups of coffee before making a start on my day...

Tomorrow is taken up with a family gathering so it will be Monday before I can get a bit of a break.
  • Have a lovely day x
  • My errands turned into a most of the day thing yesterday so didn't manage to get everything done that I'd hoped. Today is taken up with a large family gathering (thankfully all I need to do is turn up), so I will start afresh tomorrow morning with a plan for the coming week.

I'm still feeling very motivated and positive, and it's not just the coffee talking! :p
  • Ah did it.

Well just enjoy your family do today then get a new to do list sorted for tomorrow.

    Dxxx
  • Hi Misty,

Hope you had a lovely time with your family? x
  • It was ok purplem02, they aren't really "my" family but the in-laws. They are a very closed group and all the people who have married into it still feel like outsiders decades later, so we outsiders chatted to each other and let the rest get on with it. I would have rather stayed home but that would have caused more trouble than it was worth. At least it's only once or twice a year.

I've been having a good tidy up and thinking about my plans for the future as I'm doing it. I found more to list on evilbay and the things listed so far have been selling for a decent price. I've raised enough to pay the bills this month now so need to get started on next month.

I've applied for a few jobs in a city about 20 miles away, not something I'm keen on but f/t jobs in our little town are few and far between. They aren't that well paid and I am worried that spending £75 on the train each week to get there and back would make too big a dent in pay to make working there worthwhile.

I'm still motivated and positive, I have some goals to sort out but mainly I'm just doing what needs to be done. I'm good at planning and scheming but tend to avoid actually getting on with it, which has been a huge failing of mine because getting on with it is what makes the changes happen. I'm quite cheerful about this new found determination, I wasn't sure I had it in me! :p
  • I know the sort of family, glad you had people to mix with :)

Future plans are always a good thing and fingers crossed with the ebay sales.

Good luck with the job hunting and fingers crossed you'll get an interview. xx
  • No interviews yet PM02 but I am convinced it's because the perfect job is going to be available soon right here in my little town.

I'm feeling good about the fleabay sales and for a brief moment was considering doing it full time - finding things in charity shops etc. to re-sell. I probably will do it to some extent until I find f/t work but it only takes a few dodgy buyers to help me remember what a PITA it can be.

I'm still undecided about selling the sideline equip. If I can manage it I'd like to hold on until I've been working for a few months and see how much time and energy I have after a normal work day. It would be nice to be able to keep it up in some way, but if I can't, I'm ok with letting it go.
  • There definitely will be something just around the corner, you're determined enough to make it happen :)

I'm not sure that I could sell on ebay permanently, I'd get too frustrated with waiting for things to sell :rotfl:

Hope you don't have to sell your equipment.
