I'm going to Boots and maybe Superdrug at lunch. My Tarte foundation is running out so I'm on the hunt for a High Street one of similar texture (dewy finish) and colour match.

Looking forward to hearing how you get on! Still debating various foundation options and using samples. I have been colour matched at quite a range of tones and shades which is quite funny. Annoyingly mixing a too dark YSL and too moisture rich Bobbi brown samples is giving me a great face but as if I can afford to buy both of those!!!

Quite a few Ins for me – I got the M&S advent calendar this morning :D
I had a look at all the advent calendars, and this was the only one with a good selection of products I would actually use (I loooove liquid gold and Elasticizer!).

I bought a pair of boots I’ve been waiting to buy, to qualify for the offer, so there were no unnecessary spends to get it. I want to wear the boots rights now, they are sooooo lovely and comfy, but they’re not quite work suitable. I’ll be living in them all winter though :) (I was a bit lucky though, they only had 3 pairs left in the store, but fortunately one was my size!)

I’ll announce the actual Ins during December though as I open the doors (I am going to behave and do it properly).
  • I'm hoping you'll all be proud of me this morning - I've resisted the urge to buy the M&S calendar (and spend more money I don't have to get up to the £35 for it). I have the Sally Salon advent calendar anyway so don't really need another one.

I'm preparing for the INs of 24 next month by having another clearout - I've got rid of 5 nail varnishes since I just don't use them much anymore.

My 5 by Christmas is going very slowly, none of my OPI mini's seem to want to be used up (other than the one I binned last week) despite me trying to use them up. I though I would have an eye shadow UU over a week ago, but it doesn't want to give up. How long can the dregs around the edges of the pan last?

On a different note I was trying not to purchase my usual day cream as am trying to UU some Mini's (and have gotten through quite a few), but I am going to have to give up on this task for a while and give in and buy my usual day cream as I'm getting dry flaky patches around the corners of my mouth (probably due to the cold) and none of these mini's are helping the situation. oh well at least I got through a few of them, I'll start again when the weather improves and my skin isn't so delicate.

Also having issues with my lips they are permanently chapped and sore no matter what and how much I put on them. Hands are looking terrible as well and even the E45 hand cream isn't doing anything (and its nearly run out). Don't think I can use up my stash of Crabtree and Evelyn ones as think they might cause more irritation with the state they are in at the moment.

Could be an expensive weekend for skin care purchases, but things are necessary buys

Alpha H liquid gold? Ole Henrickson Lemon strip Peel?

    Savingfortomorrow

I can let you have a 15g pot of the Lemon Strip Peel (no charge) if you would like to try it. It came as part of a set, the other items I have used, but am happy with Pixi Glow and First Aid Beauty pads on my sensitive skin, I also have a couple more things from Cult Beauty/Caroline Hirons boxes to try, so it would be better used than sitting in a drawer here. Could post it early next week. PM me if you are interested:D

Glad that we all have different advent calendars then. Won't have to look out for spoiler alerts. x

No further UUs just yet but repainted my nails last night. Wearing OPI The Spy Who Loved Me. Looking festive.

    First UU for November

50ml Gatineau Floracil eye make up remover. 1/83
30ml OPI Moisture replenishing hand lotion 2/84
    5g Cymex Cold sore relief/lip treatment 3/85

    IN
    2 x 5g Cymex Cold sore relied/lip treament 2/78

The advent calendars look lovely, well done for getting them/resisting as appropriate. I have promised myself a nice one next year IF I can reduce my skin/body care and make up stash to a sensible level, i.e. no more than 1 in use 2 spare of anything:o

  • I almost had an unintentional UU this morning when I started to use an Elle McPherson body butter in a huge tub. It fell off the bed, splattering the carpet and a towel. I did manage to rescue some and smeared the rest all over myself. I have been very fragrant today! I suspect I still have 5 oe ten years supply of body lotions!
