My account was opened on December 1. The account name has been changed and I can/have opened a new Flex Regular Saver (5%) but no interest has been paid yet.

I imagine the interest will come in overnight.

interesting. when i logged in earlier this morning, it said next to my account that interest was next due at 31 december. so there's a mistake somewhere.

Not really. Because you are looking at the "NEW" account, and not the "OLD" account.

    Nationwide say:

I've had a look into the details of your Flexclusive Saver and I can confirm that your interest was due to be paid to you today (1st December).

However, we are experiencing some technical faults with this and there will be a bit of a delay I'm afraid. Although I'm not able to give you an exact date, I can confirm that this has been reported as a high priority fault and will be resolved as soon as possible. Please be reassured that all interest will be backdated.

Sorry for any inconvenience, if you need anything else please feel free to reply to my message and I'll be more than happy to help you further.

You can also give our Customer Service Centre a call on 0800 302011. Or if you're abroad call +44 1793 656789.

Just spoke to them and they said they are hoping to pay the interest sometime today.

What a mess. My letter, "Your Flexclusive Regular Saver is about to mature" says that it is going to mature today, 1 December. However, it hasn't matured and is still showing as a Flexclusive Regular Saver when I login. Perhaps it will mature tomorrow instead? And, perhaps, I will also have to wait for my interest to be credited.

Agreed - cos the old account isn't there.

I would have thought they might have added the interest first on the old regular saver account and then moved it to the new flexsaver 0.5% rate account.

I assumed I had not followed the terms and conditions when I checked this morning as no interest had been paid. Perhaps they could have emailed or texted those affected rather than just posting on here.

    It will mature tomorrow.

Mine says maturity in on 30/11 but matured today without interest.

Yes I am surprised you are able to open another 5% account. I thought you were only allowed one.

one closes the a/c on the 1 dec so you now have none.

Is there any reason why you cannot transfer the £6k to another account and then wait for the interest to be added?

I can do a lot better than 0.5%!

If its showing as a Flexclusive Saver Issue8 then you can transfer out anytime you like.

Where are you thinking of putting it?
