    It won't; new accounts never do show online immediately with Nationwide. You will have had an email from them explaining that "It’ll normally take 2 days to show on the Internet Bank..."

    However, they are often quicker than two days, often appearing overnight. I opened mine yesterday and it's showing this morning.

    Why are you telling me what I know? I had the message from them. I was just clarifying for others, thanks anyway.

    Mine matures today, still shows as a Flex Reg Saver with 5% interest rate, no interest paid and wont allow me to open a new account :(

    You should be able to open a new account tomorrow, if the downgrade happens on the weekend. Seems to take place 1 day after maturity. Interest will be paid by....... ask Noone!

    I found change occured at around 1am following date of maturity -minus the interest of course.
