I fear that there is some confusion between the Flexclusive Regular Saver (that this thread is about) and the older Regular Savings account that ran from 2009 and did indeed convert to an Instant Access Saver for everyone that had one on 1st Dec having paid paid its annual interest on 31st Oct (that this thread is not about)

My interest just added to the issue 8, not showing on home page but is when clicking on issue 8 account. Showing as credited 05th December.

Just tried to transfer the full amount into my current account but it is saying "your money has not been transferred. There are insufficient funds in your account"

    .

Yes - again ridiculous. They credit the interest so it's shown as a transaction but you can't withdraw it for at least a day as the balance isn't updated for 24 or even 48 hours sometimes.

Another odd quirk of their systems which needs looking at.

I hope this is a really daft question, but when I click to select my Flexclusive Saver Issue8 - there appears no way to actually transfer any money out from it?!

To be clear, I haven't removed anything yet, so balance is showing £6,000 (and interest shows as a transaction if I click into the account but not paid).

It's the same if I go onto the 'Move money and manage payments' page - no options to transfer.

Does the 'transfer between my accounts' function work? (left hand side of the screen).

£162.42 for me, which sounds about right, given that the interest should have been £161.29 7 days ago and I withdrew nearly all of the £6,000 immediately upon maturity.
  • Interest now fully added to matured account (i.e. showing on balance rather than just as a line) and can be transferred to another NW account.

    Finally!
  • Interest now showing in mine this morning .

    Nationwide are clueless.

I went into town yesterday to close my account. They gave me £162.05 interest and credited it to my current account.

No transactions showed up in the issue 8 saver account though.

Last night, a posting of £162.78 appeared, but the balance showed as nil. This morning, there is a further posting for "closure interest £0" and an available balance of £162.78!

I realise I'm not entitled to that money. I'll leave it a week to see if they spot the error though.

Their systems appear to be seriously deficient.
