    Dear All

I just check it I have not got the interest on my regular Saver which is already converted to Flex Saver on December 2, 2016. I have move the money to other higher interest paying account leaving it just over £1. I know I could close this flex saving to get the interest instantly but i will keep it open if there is any use of it to help getting compensation

Reading from this MSE I have seen quite a few people get compensation around £30. It is a nice work for than 10 minutes phone call ?

Please share your approach,, strategy to smooth this process without the need to show that we are threatening them:

How to raise this issue leading to compensation (damage cause, etc leading to to compensation entitle ment) ?

Outline of what did you say to them to get compensation ??

Any info lead including the one via pm will be very much appreciated ....

I could be wrong but I haven't seen anybody in this thread claim they have received any compensation let alone £30

What I suggest you do is raise a formal complaint detailing exactly what financial loss you have suffered

Personally I am against the culture of baseless compo claims as it reduces the benefits that can be offered to everyone else

    I hope this helps
  • Interest still not added ( should have been Dec 1st ) and no reply as yet to my request to log a complaint yesterday, have sent another message to them.

How hard can it be to pay interest on the due date ?????

    Well nothings happened today.
Does anyone think this will update overnight tonight or is the glitch still there and hasn`t been resolved by NW?

My Flex Regular Saver matured 4 Dec, with the interest paid on 3 Dec. The account has not yet been redesignated Flexclusive Saver, which prevents me from opening a new Regular Saver meantime. But it does still show an interest rate of 5%, next payable 4 Dec 2017.

Just been on the phone and made an official complaint, have been told that the "capitalisation of account" is now 31st December, she could not explain what this meant except that the interest is to be paid "by" the 31st December, but the T&Cs of this account clearly state, my bold,:

"5.00% gross p.a./AER (variable) Interest is calculated daily and paid annually on the anniversary of account opening and on closure.".

Just had a call back from NW, despite me closing the account on Saturday, 03rd, they tell me they had not received it, my post from Saturday:-

    Not mine!

I transferred the £6000 yesterday, and have just tried closing the account via their site, but on the last "continue button" I got a "we are experiencing problems" message, so don't know the state of play, but still no interest showing despite logging off then back in again.

So I have closed the account, (Issue8), online with the NW caller, they tell me the account will be closed and interest paid to my nominated acc within 3-5 working days,(the £6000 was transferred by me on Saturday).

They are also to credit me with £25 for my inconvenience.

I am sure when I opened my flexclusive regular saver it said the interest would be paid on 1st December after account matured on 30 November. As it was redesignated as a flexsaver on 1st December that one states the interest is paid on 31 December. I have moved out the £6000 and will be closing the account tomorrow when I go into town so presumably they will pay me the interest then. I had no problems with the TSB regular saver and it paid out interest when it said it would.

Just checked terms and conditions of regular saver and it says interest will be added on anniversary of account opening. As mine was 30th November they have broken the terms of this. I will be complaining tomorrow.
