Good news;-Flex regular savings matured on the 3rd, Interest added and account re-designated.

Bad news:- My regular savings account which matured on the 1st has been re-designated but no interest added.

    Alas, no compo for me:)

Flex regular had interest added overnight and account redesignated.

Still, I've opened a new one at 5% but wonder how long that will last..

It seems the problems are limited to early takers then. Certainly those opening on the 1st Dec last year...and maybe also the 2nd?
  • Interest was due on the 1st ( which Nationwide confirmed in a secure message ) Still not paid although account was 'redesignated on the 1st.
Have just complained via secure message....watch this space.

Just for interest (pardon the pun) from anyone that did it, was the the " 13th" payment accepted and was extra interest added?

The thirteenth payment was accepted and extra interest added.

Scroll back a few pages - the payment was accepted although they were missing (all) the interest.

I'm not sure anyone will (be sad enough to) have calculated it, being as the most they could hope for was an additional 2-3 days if the account matured Friday/Saturday. Having said that, post #158 quotes a higher return than I got, so maybe they squeezed one in, and it paid interest, or moved from the 4th to the 1st of the month funding from month 2?

The annoying thing is that this should be so easy to fix. I could write an algorithm for this in a few minutes. A competent programmer should be able to knock something up to fix the problem very quickly. Needs testing of course, but their IT people should have been working on this through the night and it should have been fixed by now.

For a major bank (BS) to be incapable of complying with its contractual commitments like this is incompetent beyond belief.

I'm slightly more forgiving, given that it's a new product and the need to identify accounts affected, those that have been manually sorted, and those still outstanding - although I'm not saying it's an overly difficult task, I'm sure it won't be.

That said, I think some sort of gesture is appropriate, and my expectations would be that it's sorted very soon. I was going to withdraw, but I haven't yet because of this issue.
