:rotfl::rotfl: well I bet I can guess what we're all doing now!
Shower repair man turned up nice and early this morning, promptly on looking at the model and hearing the problem said "Circuit board or solenoid" and it proved to be the circuit board so that all got done under warranty. It's SO nice to have a working shower again! I am considering whether we ought to think about taking the extended warranty on it too - they've sent us a special offer to get three years for £63 - it'snot normally an'thing I'd consider but bearing in mind there were two possible faults he mentioned, and we've had one of them occur inside 18 months, I'm quite tempted to think about it. He also helpfully told me how to get the shower head disk out for cleaning (dead easy!) and also how to clear some of the limescale deposits from the inside of the unit as and when needed - helpful!
Food plan had a tentative "takeaway?" written in for tonight, but instead I did a quick freezer audit this morning and promptly remembered that we had a number of bits in there that instead suggested a fry-up.Bought bacon and eggs at Sainsbugs but we had everything else in. :T Planning a nice cheese-heavy weekend with pizza toasties one night and cheese & crackers the other.
Food shopping done - £17 odd in sainsbugs, and £5-odd each in Lil's & Al's. Oh and also popped to the local posh bakery for a loaf of their rather gorgeous six seed bread. Also in the process of putting together a big-shop list for ThaT supermarkeT as they've kindly sent me a £8 off £40 spend voucher which I'll not be turning my nose up at. I've scoured the website for household, cleaning and laundry stuff on special offer and am gradually creeping the total up, should have it all done by later on so we might head and do that tomorrow morning. (And then work out where we're going to store everything!).
Need to do the CC money shuffle in the next few days.
Did the third and final day of week 2 of the couch to 5k programme this morning - did 3 miles in total which I was pleased with - 36 minutes 17 seconds so that gives me something to aim for and I also now have a route that I know gives me a decent three miles too. :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I'd be tempted to go for the extended warranty as it's not too expensive. I couldn't live without hot showers .
You're doing so well on the running :T. My back is aching after my short walk today, so I really need to get my fitness back .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Well done on the running EH , I can't run 10 yards never mind 3 miles.
Think i would do the warranty as well. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks both - yes, think we're agreed on the warranty being a good idea.
CL that was me on the running thing not all that long ago! First three times I attempted C25K I couldn't even cope with week 1!
Had a decent result in ThaT supermarkeT this morning - shopping totalled a bit over £43 - vouchers then brought it down to a bit over £32. :T We're now extremely well stocked for loo rolls, washing liquid (Yes, the nice smelling posh one!) and cleaning materials generally. Oh and cheese - we found several tempting looking lumps on the reduced counter while we were still a few £'s short of the spend threshold...
Spent a chunk of this afternoon at the rugby cub as the England match was on. MrEH bought the beers though so a nice budget friendly day for me!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

:rotfl::rotfl: Cheese envy! Ha - see, this is revenge for the amazing food on your thread Redo! :rotfl::rotfl:
Cc money shuffle is done and there is a £60 surplus in the joint account. :T MrEH needs to transfer his money over still but aside from that it's all squared away - which is a heap better than getting to the end of the month and thinking "aargh - still got to do it!"
Dragged some more of the bits from the Heartier meat box out of the freezer - there was a pack of sausagemeat and a pack of minced steak in there, so I divided both into half and froze them - pulled half of each out today and made them into meatballs just with a bit of finely diced onion and some salt & pepper - really tasty, I've been massively impressed with everything we've had from it so far. Made a double batch of tomato sauce with mushrooms, onions and peppers thrown in and had half today with half the meatballs - the rest will get eaten later in the week.
C25K week 3 is now started - did my first go at it this morning and admittedly cheated a degree by choosing a largely downhill route, but the final stretch of running was entirely uphill as a payback! :rotfl: managed it although was nearly dead when it finally said "Start walking!" at the end of that! :rotfl: Then did an hour of circuits directed by MrEH, before a somewhat slower run home. Think I;m going to ache tomorrow!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
