Thought I was the only person to wait for a new CC month :rotfl:
Oh definitely not only you! I'm currently needing to do SO much spending on the clothes front there is only so much month that the money will stretch to!! :rotfl:Cumbria_lass wrote: »Sounds like interesting times ahead with all your journeys being planned. ,
Good to hear that you are being looked after by NHS with blood tests and follow ups.
I admit to being slightly surprised at how joined up the thinking had become by yesterday - although the hospital still aren't joining the party as they've failed totally to communicate with the surgery about anything at all. I'm massively glad that I took the proactive approach and went and collected my discharge notes to deliver to the surgery myself otherwise I'd have been totally adrift!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Well today has been about as far from a NSD as it would be possible to get! :rotfl::rotfl: However the first of the new windows are in - incredible the difference already! :T Part payment for the job as a whole made today with the balance to be paid when Brian comes back to do the other stuff in a few weeks.
Also got all the shopping sorted today so the weekend is basically our own to do whatever we want with - I LOVE it when it works out like that! £6.51 in Al's - that included a pack (nearly 1kg) of free range chicken thighs and drumsticks too - and then £17.something in Sainsbugs. Meal plan amended to include the chicken - it's handy to find that they do that - the best value normally is T's 1kg pack for £4 but if the Al's stuff is OK then that will be a new favourite.
Gammon and egg tonight - MrEh is stopping for chippy chips to go with, and I just remembered I had a can of pineapple lurking that has been about for a while...well, when I *say* a while, I mean it was out of date in 2011. Needless to say when opened it smells, looks and tastes perfectly fine. That is clearly the MSE off-set to the bought chips then! :rotfl:🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Well as I predicted it would this is turning into a spendy kinda weekend! In the spirit of the new CC month starting, I went and bought the walking trousers I need today, and also managed to get a much needed thick fleece for layering with a jacket/thin fleece etc - only realised when I was sorting stuff to go to Pippi's last weekend that I had nothing suitable on those lines at all. Rather nice Weird Fish one in a sort of dark grey with purple trim acquired from the outlet village for £20 which as I absolutely love it felt like a bit of a bargain! :T
Also managed to cram in some exercise with a run (week 2 day 1 of Couch 2 5k), some HIIT stuff and a chunk of walking too. Wandered to HB this morning where I was pleased to find an entire shelf section of the Brown Basmati rice in the 1kg blocks for £1 a pack. That's SUCH a bargain! Two packs purchased so that will keep me going for a while. :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

It's very cosy Beanie! :T
Talking of cosy, the difference the new windows have made to the warmth in the flat is absolutely astonishing! It feels noticeably warmer at that end now - I'm genuinely surprised it's made quite so much of a difference! Can't wait for the other ones to get done now! :T
As predicted there was more spendiness today. BUT all stuff that was on my list and needed, and I'm not so far off having replaced all the essentials now. Bargain of the day was two more pairs of jeans from M&S clearance - my favourite bootcut style in black at £5 a pair - I suspect they're there as the leg length got cut too short as they won't even need shortening! There's still some odds and ends I need - more underwear for a start, but I'm going to wait for next month to do that I think.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
