I did a £1 survey on prolific today, and spotted one for £4.17 but sadly it was going to take nearly an hour and I was at work... 5 mins I don't mind, but an hour felt like Id be taking the !!!! somewhat :rotfl: :rotfl:0

An hour for that amount is firmly in the "not to be bothered with" range I'd say Cheery - good call! The longest I'll do at work realistically is about 20 minutes. Glad to hear that you and HH at least are getting something on there - mine is currently deathly quiet again!
Also - if you want evidence of foul play - I've had NO OnePoll surveys since I got to within that 5p of cashout. Now - anyone who uses OnePoll knows that 2 entire days going past without so much as a sniff of a 10p survey simply doesn't happen - not massively impressed.
NSD yesterday! Won't be one today though as I'm heading to the gym tonight. Have car-shared with MrEH though. Tomorrow will definitely NOT be a NSD either as my car must have some diesel-juice added or we'll face an embarrassing "grind to a halt on the motorway" scenario! :rotfl:
Remembered this morning to get the fish out of the freezer to defrost ready for curry tonight - and also remembered that I have the rest of a tub of greek yogurt to finish up so will be incorporating that into the sauce.
Must remember to put chickpeas on the shopping list - well that or get MrEH to drag out the bag of dried ones that I'm certain are in the cupboard so I can soak/cook them. I'll also try to come up with the following week's meal plan tomorrow afternoon - I'm generally planning it to be a fairly home-based afternoon catching up on odd jobs so there should be time. Rough plan is to run as soon as I get home so that I get the best of the daylight - then lunch before sorting other things out.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

You are doing so well on the running front. Well done. As someone else said (sorry can't remember who) if you do find that you are struggling then just repeat a week. You will get there. That last phrase has been running through my head a lot - I'm still astonished I CAN do it. And it's started me questioning what else I can challenge myself on as well. Running used to be something I'd only do for a bus, and I've spent YEARS ensuring I avoid blood tests due to a fear of them. That's two things I've tackled this year - I wonder what else!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

It's true though. We build things up in our heads and make them into a bigger issue than they need to be. I started out doing the c25k and I ran a marathon last month! And I'm not the most enthusiastic runner :rotfl:

I really miss running. I loved the couch to 5k and, like you, was fascinated how my lazy backside was transformed in such a short space of time.
DS and I stole your idea for his cooking assignment today - he did haloumi with couscous, chickpeas, caramelised onion, mint and tomatoes, with a drizzle of oil and lemon dressing. It was perfect for his balanced wheel and techniques required, must have tasted ok as he ate it all!My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Yep - already working on that idea - it won't be a marathon though! :rotfl:redofromstart wrote: »I really miss running. I loved the couch to 5k and, like you, was fascinated how my lazy backside was transformed in such a short space of time.

To be truthful about it half the reason running appeals is that it's a lazy method of exercise - I can throw my kit on, go out, run for half an hour and get back and be showered, dressed and ready to carry on all inside an hour - what's not to like?!
Mmmm that couscous thing sounds lovely! Mint is a nice addition - I sometimes throw coriander or flat leaf parsley in. Fresh OR sundried tomatoes work brilliantly. never thought of the idea of a lemon based dressing but I do quite often lob some lemon juice into the couscous ahead of soaking it.Joined up thinking in the NHS~~really~~:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well I wonder if OnePoll read these forums as for some reason I got a 10p "top up" payment this morning taking me over the £40 - and had another 15p survey since then - claim request for payout is now done. :T
So this afternoon - fuel into car, run, must get to the cashpoint. Probably a wander to Al's and back as I spotted that the new S6 items look halfway decent - flat mushrooms, cauliflowers (oh let them be British and a decent size!) Swede, mini potatoes subject to nationality all look promising. come up with something for dinner that lets me make the dhal recipe that was posted up on Greying's thread AND use up some of the other veggies etc that need attending to. sort out clothes to take away with me - I'm heading to Sheffield to see a pal tomorrow, just an overnight stay but thoroughly looking forward to it. :T Also need a meal plan and a shopping list - and to work out when best to shop as well - might be a job for MrEH on Saturday, in which case I need to leave him my sainsbugs voucher.
Hmmm...it's occurred to me that weather permitting I could make tomorrow morning an early start and head to Scampton first - might drop someone a wee message later to double check that they will definitely be practising up there then.
Gym went well last night - interesting hour mixing treadmill (including my first go at sprint intervals) weights and an 8 minute 30s on 10s off HIIT session too. Finding that works quite well thrown in the middle there. :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Came here, read about surveys, thought I better check PA and there was a nice £4 survey sitting there waiting for me! Will have another £10 there once its all cleared.
EH it sounds like you are doing great on the exercise front, in the winter I always just want to hibernate, I really need to get back in to it soon. Oh and great news on that pesky 5p that you needed.Change the way you see things and the things you see will change0 -
