Thanks all - we had a lovely day with my parents on Saturday, then left that night to start the drive up, continuing on Sunday. Just one diversion on the way as the A66 was closed due to the weather, so a slightly longer/more time consuming trek across the A69 instead. The ferry across on Monday was fine - actually running early which is unheard of on thst sailing!First couple of days were beautiful weather, today a little less so as it was VERY wet and windy this morning! Made us appreciate the lovely cosy cottage all the more, though.Sunrise from the cottage yesterday morning
