It could well just be luck - not sure what my parents had as their boosters but neither of them had any reaction. I'm almost certain to get Moderna too. My theory was based on the fact that Pfizer and Moderna are both MRNA vaccines of course, so possibly less likely to provoke a booster reaction from folk who didn't react to the initial course. I certainly know far less people from Team Pfizer the first time round but almost none had reactions, whereas nearly everyone I know with AZ had a reaction to at least the first one!  I'm sure there is a reason, but nobody seems to know what it is, do they!  RT hope you're feeling better soon - it really is a necessary evil isn't it!  My theory with mine is that I will try to get it as a walk in on pone of the first few days after we're back - my Aunt's cremation will be one day or another and I should be able to go after that.

Pizza has been consumed. Quite a lot of pizza in fact, and thanks to MrBoss's insistence that we ordered two HOOOOOOGE ones there is two thirds of a HOOOOOOGE pizza in the boot of my car to go home with me, too. I'm now debating whether just to save that for tomorrow night and shove the defrosted pizza dough back in the freezer - anyone know if you can freeze mozzarella as that's the thing that really needs using? Hang on - I'll google.... yes, you can....oh well, that might decide that then. Makes an easy tea for tomorrow even easier. (And cheaper!)

*edit* Killing the last 10 minutes of time before heading home. I've just got lots of odds and ends done today - filing, shredding, cleaning up (even my own desk and that doesn't happen often!). Remembered to pick my milk up from the fridge - it's already out of date by several days but it's skimmed so lasts for ages past date and I may as well use as much of it as I can at home in the  next few days rather than going into one of the pints of semi-skimmed that had accumulated at MrEH's office so he brought home earlier in the week!

My Power of Opinions Am@z0n code has arrived and I've applied it to the account - I can get that one closed off now as I have no plans to continue with it - the last few weeks have proved the point - a steady stream of invitations, probably 4 - 5 a week but today was the first I wasn't screened out of. Enough.
I've just cashed Prolific out at £19.57 - I could have waited to see if it would creep past the £20 level but frankly I'd sooner get it paid and across to the card.

Hope the tests stay clear for you. I had some reaction to the P booster - while DD reacted badly to the Mod one...

You'll be on your way very soon and seeing beautiful countryside as well as friends and family.

I had AZ for first two with no reaction at all ,the was knocked off my feet by my Pfizer booster
I am 72 and until then had never reacted to a vaccine  in my life !!
  • Thanks all - and hello @Suffolksue - thanks for posting! There really does seem to be no rhyme or reason to any of it, does there!

We now have a dozen rather messy mince pies (I let MrEH fill them and he didn’t believe me when I said he probably didn’t want to put so much mincemeat in… ) and some decent looking sausage rolls. Not sure what T’s have done to their sausage casings though but trying to skin the wretched things practically had me in tears - SO fiddly, and it used to be so easy! Gah!

We also have a fully packed car tucked away in the garage - we’ll use the other one to get to Mum & Dad’s tomorrow and then switch that into the garage when we get home. We seem to be most of the way through the lists too - and I’m hopeful that after another little flurry of activity shortly we can have a nice relaxing Christmas Eve night with candles lit in the Christmas candle holders for the last time this year!

I’ve been using odd moments to delete loads of old photos off my phone to bring my iCloud storage down a bit - making really good progress but goodness me the sheer amount of duplicates and just general junk I had on there! Also some good memories though, and lots of stuff that’s making me say “oh I remember that!” which is nice!

I love going through my photos. I've always got duplicates on there as digital makes it so easy to take a few pictures of the same thing to get a nice shot. Plus I usually find some silly selfies the kids have taken while my phone was unattended.

Yay to being almost packed. You do sound organised. Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow and a safe journey the day after.
