RT I'm fairly regularly around and about London - I work not that far from the Olympic Park. Hope your colleagues said that the Charing Cross tour was good - I'm very excited for it! :D

HH Thank you - I will!

Power of Opinions has just been requested for cashout so finger crossed that might get approved for paying next week. :T

Well the airshow was indeed very good - beautiful evening light + beautiful WW2 and earlier aircraft = very happy EH! They even managed to get some of the really old (Edwardian!) aircraft up and flying late on which was rather special, too - lovely!

The Charing Cross tour was also superb - we walked up the escalator that Daniel Craig slid down the centre of in Skyfall, and got to exit one of the tunnels we were taken into back into the "live" part of the station in the style of 007 too - which was hilarious. :rotfl: Also saw loads of fascinating bits and pieces (Not all related to Bond films!) and thoroughly enjoyed it! :T Got another section of the jubilee Greenway walked in the afternoon too which was nice - not too much more of that to cover now. :T

I'm now 10p away from £25 cashout on OnePoll...and refreshing the screen regularly to try to pick up anything that comes available! :rotfl:

Back from a GLORIOUS week on Lundy finished off b y a lovely day at Torbay Airshow yesterday! :T Weather was nice most of the week -0 we had one day with a heavy mist shrouding the top of the island for pretty much the entire day, and a day when MrEH and I returned to the pub somewhat damp after getting caught in a short sharp rain shower, but other than that there was lots of sunshine which was ace! I got out running three times which I was pleased with and have now finished my 100 kilometer challenge - Did a couple of miles in a loop the first time out, then about three and a half the second time and got much more adventurous with some proper trail running which I loved (roads are going to seem exceptionally dull after a week of granite paths, loose gravel underfoot, uneven rocky patches and stunning views!) as I ran to halfway up the Island along the west coast and then looped back and down the East. Final run was the morning of the very heavy mist and I stuck to the main track for that and literally did a mile up and then turned and ran back - in spite of never being more than a few 100 yards from the "Old" lighthouse I never once saw it that morning!

It wasn't cheap but we knew it wouldn't be - as a group we use the pub as the centre of our socialising in the evenings so evenings meals were all in there - lunches were a mix of pub and sandwiches made in the houses, (The group was split across 4 properties so no one place big enough to socialise in - when we go back at Christmas we'll be in one place) and breakfasts were all eaten "at home" as it were. The island stores sells the essentials plus a good range of more luxury "extras" - think "smart village shop" type thing. The money to clear the payments for the tab in the pub & shop was sitting in the bank though so we're all covered and it was so worth it! Thoroughly looking forward to going back now! :T

Torbay yesterday was a very cheap day indeed by comparison - MrEH dropped me off in Paignton itself, I met up with a pal, then headed up to Roundham Head to watch the displays from - only spending during the day was £2.50 on a positively bargainous Magnum ice cream and can of coke from the handily positioned Paignton Sea Angling club who'd helpfully opened up their loos and were also doing food and drink at very sensible prices - always handy to have nice loos nearby at an airshow! £2 in a bucket as a donation to the show, and then £4.80 I think it was for my train ticket back to Newton Abbot where MrEH picked me up.

Now it's back to work, and time to get all the washing etc sorted! Got one load through tonight and will do another tonight and then just repeat until it's cleared - very pleased that we left the flat nice and clean & tidy too! Need to do food shopping tonight - after a week of lovely pub food it's going to be quite a "salady" sort of week I think! :rotfl:

The £10 from Power of Opinions had cleared thorugh PayPal when I looked this morning so I have paid that to the 0% card and updated that green figure - getting closer to the magic £1k cleared, look!

Well it'll be a bit closer once the standard payment goes out next week...and hopefully OnePoll will come good this week! (Although that won't pay until end of the month of course).

*edit* Just logged in to OnePoll and they'd given me a 10p top-up to take me to £25 so I've now requested that!
