    Sounds like a great weekend.

On the surveys is it better to cash out as soon as you get to the threshold? Is there a risk to leaving the cash sitting for longer? Sorry if that is a daft question.

Sorry I missed this Lucifa! Pleased to see Scott has pretty much given the answer I was going to though!

If you use Circle to payout on Prolific it's worth hanging on until the £20 to avoid the fees, I use Paypal though so my method there is to cash out on a Thursday if I'm over £10 - that way I can keep track of it easily to make sure it doesn't get missed. Pinecone I always take out pretty much as soon as the payments clear in.

Well hectic few weeks here and it['s not going to calm down that much any time soon, either!

Airshows are really ramping up now - Did 2 days at Yeovilton this last weekend, then next weekend is the biggie at Fairford in Gloucestershire which I'm looking forward to! Hoping for a chilled few days wandering round the place and plenty of good skies for pictures - fingers crossed! I'm heading into London tomorrow for the RAF100 flypast too - literally just sneaking out of work for a few hours for that one which works rather well, and aiming to head straight to The Mall to hopefully get the best crack at pics. No chance to recce locations in advance though so I'm going to have to just wing it!

Finally got my OnePoll payment through and done several cashouts on Prolific over the past few weeks too so the amount paid off on the 0% card is now looking pretty hopeful! Signature is up to date I think but I do need to make a mental note to check when the next statement comes in - and also check when I need to pay any balance remaining off to avoid interest.

Other than that, running has had to be put on pause as I've injured a muscle - in my butt of all places! It's a fairly common running injury and fingers crossed I *think* it's starting to get on the mend - certainly hope so as I'm REALLY missing my running now! :(

Think you need an invitation to PineCone and as far as I know I've not got any at the moment. If you're signed up to PickMyPostcode (formerly Free Postcode Lottery) though I think you can usually sign up through them!

Oops... :o well old hands here know that I do this from time to time....so probably aren't *that* surprised! All fine here - just lots going on over the last....ummm....ages...!

So since last posting here there has been the rest of the airshow season, which was all lovely and good fun and lots of photos taken. We've also taken on a national role for the Great British Beer Festival which is likely to take an unfeasible amount of time going forward if we let it - so current plans are trying to work out how to do it without it taking over our lives. There has also been two weeks spent in the Hebrides (awesome as ever) including a viewing on a house (too close to falling down even for adventurous types like us so said "thank you, but no" to that one) and a week on Lundy (yes again!) at Christmas with a load of pals. Other oddments too but those are the headlines really. All good, all budgeted for, all under control.

The 0% card that had paid for a new camera and new iPhone at the end of 2016 got cleared on target in October - and mostly using "free" money from surveys, cashback etc. I was left with a little under £600 in the savings account that the money set aside for those items had been stashed in - and that account had also paid out for several more items of photo equipment during the time the card was live so I'm very pleased with that outcome. I'm continuing to feed the account with any money that comes along from surveys etc too so that is slowly building up again as well. The phone went in for a replacement battery under Apple's special offer in November so that should - all being well - continue to do me for a while longer yet.

Plans for this year are very much "more of the same" - although we are expecting some spendiness in some areas:

    - Travel to meetings for the beer festival comes under "claimable expenses" but anywhere that we decide to stay over either because otherwise it's a stupid amount of travel in a day, or because we just want to, accommodation will be payable by us of course.
    - We're cracking back on with the works needing doing in the flat - first stop being electrical works. We're waiting for a quote on that now.
    - MrEH's car will likely need replacement this year - as you might remember in the past we've spent 2k-ish on a vehicle for him with the approach of "run it into the ground" - this time we're looking at increasing that a bit although we're not certain on how much as yet.
    - There are holiday plans - the usual trip to the Hebrides, a long weekend with the same friends we were on Lundy with, and another week in the Hebrides late in the year. Budgets are in place for all of those.

Budgets are under review as always - we recently switched eletrickery supplier to Bulb (so if anyone wants a referral please feel free to DM me - £50 for each of us in credit if I refer you which is better than most of the cashback options I think!)

I make no promises on how often I'm likely to update here, but I promise I will try! :D
