Without knowing the exact details, it is hard for either us, or the LR Rep, to advise

    * what was originally sent to the LR?
    * what exactly did it show?
    * on the 4 subsequent occassions, did you simpy re-send the original documents, or any additional documents/informaton?
    * what exactly did the LR say in response to each of the 4 re-submissions?

Have you called them? What did they say?

Have you followed their complaints procedure?

Personally I think the price-paid information is less important than you seem to think. The value today is not really based on the value yesterday (or when it was last sold). What matters is the value today of other similar properties in the area.

Perhaps as they said they would correct it if there was an error, they looked at the paperwork and decided they did not class it as an error?

It IS an error-I am not a stupid person and I know how much the property cost us.
Why some of you try to justify their conduct is beyond me.
Apart from the Land Registry person, I'd be very grateful if no one else replies to this thread as they don't know what they are talking about

    Dear oh dear, temper temper!

    * we have no way of knowing if you are stupid or not. Some people who post here are stupid (and usually do not know it!)

    * No one is trying to justify the LR conduct - we are trying to offer possible explanations. Perhaps you are right and they have (repeatedly) made an error. Perhaps not.

    * You cannot dictate whether people reply to a thread or not - I shall continue to reply until I decide not to!

    * True we do not know entirely what we are talking about - hence my points in post 23 above! If you provide full details of the issue, then we'll have a better idea of what we are talking about.

Just a reply to agree with the OP - that I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about!

I seldom do, but at least I'm polite about it.

I am replying because I AM stupid and have failed to grasp the comment about not posting unless relevant. Just coz I can.

You are absolutely right of course, proving that.... err... you know exactly what you are talking about.
  • I replied because a pattern formed in the OP's writing style.
Words like Moronic, incapable, and obvious intelligence insulting phrases appear to be the norm, and this along with a somewhat badgering mentality could indeed be his problem.
Manners cost you nothing OP and can get you the world, try some!
