Morning,
Yesterday was another NSD for me however today won't be. Need a new headlight bulb and some other bits and bobs. Need's must I suppose.0 -
Morning all,
Two NSD on the trot - aiming for another two over the weekend. Looking forward to a quiet weekend at home which hopefully will be productive! Still got spring bulbs to get in the ground and loads of leaves to gather up. Also want to get dining room chairs recovered - have the foam and the material just need to do it.
Hubby and I are both on the same wavelength when it comes to make do and mend - things have to look nice but we do all our own diy and granny set me up well as I can sew, crochet, knit and even more importantly cook and bake! Speaking of diy - he is back on the tiles this weekendWe do our own but with both working it doesn't mean its the fastest option but at least its cheaper!
Have a good day all, LAGL xxDebt free on the 28/05/130 -
Hi all.
Bob - hope your son is better soon, when is his party?
DS is off school for a training day today but DD isn't which is a pain as I still had to rush around for her this morning then we had more bus traumas and a slight altercation between me and the bus driver.
I'm not sure how me and DS are spending the day but other things that need doing are cleaning (when does it not need doing), dog walking, visiting mum, school run again, packing for DD's camp this weekend then dashing to the back of beyond to get her there for 6.30pm.
Tea is fish and chips but from the freezer not shop bought.
He is thank you Dolly it's this weekend!

Hi All
Today was my 2nd planned spends day this week. I have been out this morning and got birthday presents and shopping for the party and food for us for the weekend. After today the bank of Bob is closed till Monday.
I have a bit of a niggle (actually huge bug bear) rolling round my head but as ever I am mindful of over sharing on such an open platform. So I will seethe quietly instead.

Bob - everyday this week there has been some sort of bus related issue, this morning DD got on the bus (10 minutes late) then I was about to come home but it didn't move then all the lights went out so I walked back and asked if there was a problem and instead of explaining he had to be a prat and said no. Er why aren't you moving then? Long story short I am very forthright and told him to stop being a funny bu**er and tell me what was going on as my child needs to get to school.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Afternoon All....i am sheepishly admitting total failure today
. I bought some clothes. And a coffee. And a few more clothes. £130 later...
I did need them, but i could have waited until December. Lesson learnt. I'm not going into town for the rest of the month.
Straight back on the wagon, feeling naughty, but what's done is done. No point crying over spilt milk.0 -
Well giving up this week, had to pay Plusnet yesterday on taking new contract out with them so no SFD there. Today needed milk and somehow advent calenders- (good at a pound in Morrisons) popped into my bag and cake, needed some meat/fish grand total of 13.00.
Decided to ditch BF so going out to celebrate my freedom later. Tried so hard but happier without him. Probably only be couple of drinks.
Got heating working yesterday so grateful as haven't shaken off earache yet, coming back with new fanfor the boiler today just oiled it up to get it working for now.
Might spend tomorrow really need a fire alarm and have a mate down Sunday who could fit it for me hopefully.
Hope the party goes well Bob and your son is well enough.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -

Oh, up on the naughty step you get.
Went into town today too and now remember why I haven't been in about a year. It's horrible, people everywhere, can't find what you want etc. Had this nostalgic notion of actually buying at least the onesies for the kids for St. Nikolaus in person. Found one for DS, DD's got ordered from Asd@ when I got back to the office. I feel sorry for the local shops but I just don't have the time or patients. Plus I guess before I would know roughly what I want and see what's there. Whereas nowadays I now exactly what I want (so used to it form looking online) but then can't find it and am not open to deviate IFYWIM.
Also strangely there seems to be no 2-3 year size. It's babies 0-24 months and then girl's 3-15 .
Bob glad your son is better.
Calling14 sorry to hear you had to ditch the BF. As you say sometimes it's better to just take that step rather then carrying on for the sake of it. Enjoy your freedom drink (i didn't really say that eh, no drinking and all that this month). Glad the heating is back on.

Yes, thanks Calling, I think we need to have a wee reminder of the rules on page oneand the reintroduction of the naughty step .
So turtles, I know these rules aren't enforceable by law but you signed up for this challenge, now give it a proper go (anyone over 6 NSDs ignore this). So, pull yourself together and back on board the NSD train by Monday latest. Plan, plan, plan. Milk ran out, realise the day before it's getting low and top up with water till next planned spend day. Car running on fumes, ok, pull spend day forward if the next day was to be one etc etc.
I try to take this on board too. Spend day one of the week today, been to town and will get a wee top up shop after work. Will try my hardest not to spend at FIL's but might take some christmas budget money as they got a big Bl@acks store and kids ski helmets (main present) are on sale. Might try and do that on Sunday when I have my planned spend day number 2 for the week and will do another wee top up shop for the folioing week.
Fell off the wagon smoking wise (hops on naughty step, budge over WnatToBeSE) but being at FIL will sort that out again.
So here are my too motivational quotes for today in regard to falling of the wagon (ignore if not applicable)
One of the most common cause of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat.
