Hugs Toni's friend and ccl.
NSD no 2 for me, very hard won. Took 2 apples out with me, ate one. Three hours later I was absolutely ravenous but walked home past lovely little bakery. award winning pie shop, 2 convenience stores and little Arseda. Bunged food from the freezer in the oven and ate some soup whilst it was cooking.
Meeting with counsellor and then crafts today. Walked both ways, still slow but much better than last 2 weeks. Four new people at crafts, including a mother and daughter from the next town up. Both use wheelchairs but daughter on crutches today. They have set up their own support group in a local community centre and do all sorts of activities including wheelchair dancing (everyone welcome) and are going to do wheelchair zumba - I might be able to manage that.
I was hoping that people would be finishing off their 'string bowls' (glued onto a balloon and then the ballon is popped when string is dry) but they had 'died in storage' so evreyone was looking to me for ideas and it was a bit hectic, trying to help 3 people doing different things and running back and forth to the materials supply.
Good fun but very tiring and back was aching by the end. Not enough sleep last night so trying for an early one tonight. My local history partner has been asked to speak to a meeting again tomorrow, so I can sleep later and then crack on with getting the house ready for DS3's beloved and the chinchillas arrival on Saturday.
Today I am grateful for the weather being good enough to wear a dress (bare-legged), for having the willpower to resist spending (may it grow daily) and for a lovely friendly crafts session (too busy to have any social anxiety). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
(((Toni'sfriend))) - Be kind to yourself and allow yourself a cry if you need it.
Everyone is doing fab with the challenge - I am certainly keeping on track, I don't want Thrifty questioning my spends:eek:
Yesterday and today have been NSD's so that is 2 so far. (I noticed 5 for the week even though we were a day short but thought it was all part of the tough military challenge :rotfl:)
Trying to use up things from the freezer so tonight I did curry which used up loads of veg from the fridge but also some naan breads and a flatbread that have been in the freezer since May:T
There are leftovers so I will have my veggie curry for tea tomorrow night.
The cats need food and I haven't done my usual Zooplus order so will do that tomorrow for delivery in a few days and pop to supermarket for cheap biscuits to see them through for a few days.
Need to spend anyway tomorrow as got pest control coming:eek:. We noticed wasps hanging around the fascias last weekend and a few have been in the house but it all ended in tears when the dog was asleep and got stung on her foot:mad:. DH rung a company he uses at work and they said at this time of year they would normally advise to leave wasps nests as they will be dead soon but if they are starting to sting then it's not a great idea to leave them.
Will also get some fruit as well as need some clementine's from M&S!!!0 -

Day 2 done and dusted! Work today was hard. I left my breakfast and lunch in the house (after 3 hours sleep last night!) so had to make do with a banana on toast for breakfast and lots of coffee, an orange and 2 crumpets for lunch. I usually go to a quiz on a Wednesday but not today. Instead we are watching the new big bang .
I have found a shirt and pair of pumps I bought and haven't worn so I am returning them tomorrow and having nearly £50 back. Woooo hooo.
Hope you all have a lovely eveningMake £10 a day, October 2023 - £105/£3100 -

Hi everyone,
Sfd - 2/13
Nearly spent at dgd swimming lesson but as I didn't take my purse I couldn't!! I did put £5 note in the car just in case of emergency but as it was left in the car on purpose it wasn't spent.
Not been walking today as I have been sewing but I will tomorrow. I made a loaf in the bm, and hmm soup from a few wrinkly carrots, a sweet potato and a few other bits, it was very nice I was a bit surprised!
I've had the heating on low for a couple of hours tonight, only the second time so far but it's getting so cold now and there was ice on the car this morning.
Anyway going to trawl through a few threads

SFD number 2 yesterday
ccl I completely agree if 'teaching' was mainly teaching, I'd love my job! I spend most of my time doing admin or management or leadership tasks even though I have a full timetable so I barely get to think about my lessons before I arrive in the classroomI'm currently recording a log of how many hours I work each day, I'm up to 30.5 hours so far this week

Quick check in before work to report 1 NSD so far, and planning for today to be no. 2.
Just received my payout from yougov, so have sent £45 of it straight to the cc.0 -
I made the bliss balls yesterday and they are yummy. Like nakd bars, but with the extra cocoa powder they are better. And cheaper!
Spent about £22 in sainz yestetday, and stocked up on gf food for dd, coconut flour and a huge tin of mango puree which I'll use for ice cream. And got some ys parsnips in the c00p for yummy curried parsnip soup.
Thanks ccl. I only did mon morning this week; next week in mon + tues mornings. I'll also be going to stay over at mum's so that my sister can have a night away and some respite.
Today's plan includes a long walk.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Hugs to tonis friend, I'm sorry for your loss.
Has anyone noticed a significant drop in temperature this morning? It' really chilly here in Cornwall, for the first time. Not scraping ice off the car quite yet, but it wont be long i dont think.
So, Day 3..today i am doing C25K, and also going to my group. It's for parents of disabled children. I really enjoy it, and it's freePlus we get coffee!
I phoned up Tesco Clubcard yesterday to change address (after almost 4 months!) and they are going to refund me the £10 in vouchers that i didnt receive. So i am going to do an online food shop whenever they come through, instead of my usual Morrisons food shop.
Plus, today is meal planning and budget writing day. Sadly enough, i really enjoy doing this!
Have a great day everyone!0
