Doh! Not sure why I didn't think to check CPR first - apologies all and thank you Umkomaas.
Although I sense your confusion having read the sticky links you put in your other thread.

Oops I've just spotted the second one isn't the one I'd meant to link too.. I have too many tabs opens it seems.

On reading 15.6 it seems I've made a huge error by assuming that the solicitors would get my defence through the court (much as I received their claim through the court). I'll pick this up in the other thread so as to not cross-contaminate.

    Thanks again.

    Another option is email:

    Claim responses & directions: ccbcaq@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk

I believe you get an acknowledgement, so you can prove it was received.
Add the claim number to the email subject line, and also the document name.

So i can send the form to this email instead of mail? " Probably thats the case but just double checking"

Just some help, I am filling out my N180 for an offence which Gladstones Solicitors are representing the claimants. I want to go to oral hearing at a court of my choice which is close by to where the alleged offence occured, 60 miles from my home. The reason for this is because the witness I am asking to provide evidence is disabled and cannot travel the 60 miles to my home court. Would this be acceptable>

Is this related to your earlier thread?

If so, this query would be better placed there.
  • I am helping my daughter fight an unfair parking ticket and we’ve got to the stage of preparing for the counterclaim in the small claims track. I was expecting the claimant (Gladstones) to send me and the court, copies of all documents they intend to rely on at the final hearing by yesterday. Nothing has been received yet. I am due to do the same by 22nd November. Is this a usual tactic with Gladstones? Should I write to the court? I assume I still go ahead and submit our documents. Should I refer to not receiving anything from Gladstones in my documentation to the court?

    Thanks in advance!

Please start a new thread of your own.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I've got my N180 form through from the court. I'm just a little but confused about what to put in D1. Do I need to squeeze the name and address of the court in there or do I just put "My home court Walsall pursuant to CPR 26.2A(3)"

    Thanks.

I'd have asked this on my claim thread but I'm guessing I'm not the only person who's wondered about this...

Walsall County Court is good enough.

    Good points IamEmanresu.

    And the classic:

The person named on the claim form is the registered keeper but for some daft reason, the driver thinks they can defend the Claim in their name - nononono!
I wanted to get a more explained in simply language for a dummy not english person :) quoted wording and generaly this point about driver and keeper matter:
    1. everywhere is written never admit who was a driver and have i keep that agenda also in hearing, but the judge will ask who was driver, what i shoud tell then?
    2. how it help me that im only keeper if I don't have any proof that was driving was another person? by updates of law they make assumption that it was the same person driver and keeper.
