Getting Barclaycard to offer a balance transfer!

I paid off my Barclaycard recently as the interest free period was about to end. I'd quite like to receive another balance transfer offer so I can shuffle around some credit on other cards. But what is most likely to trigger an offer (I keep checking my account & there are currently none): leaving the Barclaycard with zero balance for a few months or using it for occasional purchases & paying off the balance. Or neither, is it more random?

I get offers monthly with mine. I have the Barclaycard Platinum and there's always BT offers available for me. Even when I only had £200 of available credit remaining.
I would contact them and see if they can offer you anything or threaten to close the account.Littlewoods £0/£750

It depends how much of a rush you are in to get a BT offer.
If you are ok with your other card for a few months then sit tight. If you could benefit sooner rather than later then give them a quick call.

I have the platinum BT card and get a postal offer monthly and all the offers are listed online as well. Otherwise worst case, close it, wait 6 months* and apply for a new one
*This is a guess, I don't know how long you have to wait between closing and opening a new one so best double checkSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I notice with me the existing Barclaycard offers have not been so generous over the last two months. Has anyone else noticed this as well.0

My current offers are for BT interest free until Jan 1st 2018 but 2.9% fee. Cash transfer with 2.9% fee and interest free until 1st of Feb 2018. I never get purchase plans though.
My limit is being increased next month from £1,000 to £2,500Littlewoods £0/£750

Ditto. No money transfer offers, just '6.9% until paid in full 2.9% fee applies' - however given that I'm already on a long term BT deal, no thank you :rotfl:

Same here. On a money to bank offer at moment until August 2017 and was at 0.9 percent fee and interest free etc. I have 4 BC's through migration and 2 are offering offers to bank account but no where as generous as previous offers.0 -
Just keep checking your online banking, barclaycard are very good for offers, am currently on 0% till 2018 on balance transfer & Purchases and they are still offering me another offer till 2017 and 6.9% LOB.Aqua Advance £ 9500 ( Settled ) | BC Platinum Card 25/25 £10500 | 24 studio £1950 | SimplyBe £1800 | Nationwide Flexplus A/C OD £800| Meaningless Noddles score= 3/50

You can continue to use your Barclaycard, and pay in full as the interest period has ended. By continuing using your card, that might trigger BT offers.
I would have thought the BT cards mentioned on the MSE website would be better than the Barclaycard ones tailored for existing customers (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/balance-transfer-credit-cards?&_ga=1.28479544.561365910.1477477141). If you do get Barclaycard BT offers in the near future, compare them with the ones from MSE, and see which one is better for you.0
