DS bedroom radiator is fixed :T and we have pieces of hutch to build tomorrow. I'm feeling rather behind on housework this week... Ah well. I'm going to have a plan for November I think.

One day each week to be devoted to Xmas prep - I'm usually done by now and haven't started. One to painting - want to redo all the downstairs woodwork. Two to college / studying. And one for everything else lol.

WM is on so I'll hang those up in a wee while and sort next weeks shopping list. Made a big sausage casserole earlier so tomorrow's lunch is sorted.

DD had fun at dance camp. They learned two routines and performed for us when we collected. Music was Thriller, Ghostbusters etc. Was great fun. She will sleep tonight after 4hours of that, lol.

Early night for me too, I think!

  • I am in, flapping as per usual! DS has been to my mums for a sleepover, so DD and I have had some lovely quality time together.

House is presentable enough, I have done enough laundry to sink a ship and I'm now sat enjoying a glass of wine. I have also listed some bits on ebay today, hoping to raise enough funds to make a decent overpayment on the mortgage (my current obsession lol).

Mrs MP - Great news on the job, well done you xx

Lighting a candle tomorrow for my lovely daddy, taken from us too soon 6 years ago tomorrow, he was only 44 I miss him every day.

    Hugs all round xx

Honey Bear unfortunately I didn't get long in the sofa as ds2 started screaming and wrecked the living room in a big meltdown. He said he was bored. He ended up with a headache.

Today I have emptied the airing cupboard. Changed my bed, been shopping for parents, took ds2 on a Poke mon walk,

Looking after DGS3+4 this morning, so just about to leave home and drive for 1 hour.

Catch up later! Hope everyone has a good day - (((hugs))) spoons and sticks all round x
  • Congratulations MrsMP, great news.

Hope things are feeling a bit better Narco x

So a lovely couple of days holiday from the paid stuff but woke up early today fretting about various things, well money mostly. Anyhow I am not going to dwell on it, have drawn up a budget for November and worked out how much I can afford for the forthcoming festivities. I also have 5 family birthdays - plus DS1 - before the 25th December!

Going to a local NT place today with a voucher we won in a raffle but various other things that need to be done so need to be organised.

Have a good Friday everyone x

Had a really busy day yesterday which involved driving for an hour to meet up with Sussex friends up here in Wales on holiday. Their son is Small's best friend from preschool, so he was delighted and excited in equal measure.

Had a morning being blown along the beach, digging giant holes in the sand and poking dead jellyfish with spades  All the dogs went wild, jumping in the sea and chasing each other, which was lovely to watch. When we got cold, we walked into the town and went to a soft play centre for a couple of hours, had lunch there and warmed up. More digging on the huge sandy beach later (the sea was going out, so the flat sand was fab) then back to their chalet for a cuppa. We had to pay a toll to drive over a rickety old wooden bridge. Small did look out for a troll, you know, just in-case...

Long journey home then made a steak and ale pie with the slow-cooked beef I'd left cooking earlier and a well-earned glass of cider.

    Flying? Erm...nope...

Hope poorlies all have a better day today. Just off for my communal shower :o

Been asked to stand by my phone incase I'm needed as emergency back up today, so will dress for work and throw a sandwich together -then I won't get the phonecall. I know if I put my scruffs on and start doing something I'll get a call about 15 mins before the bus is due to leave.
Got to nip in the attic so I'll do that now as the earliest I'll get a call is 9am
