  • Morning all,

Worked until ten last night, painting woodwork and sanding and waxing beams in the bathroom. It's getting there! I'm going to do the daily stuff then carry on with that.
We are off to Scotland tonight until Sunday, so I also need to pack, and take the dog for a decent walk before we set off.
Thinking of CYs daughter, it must be very hard.
embb arm healing vibes coming your way x
Jazee there is a similar clothing portal on the floor of our bedroom x

Goodness Bossy, really three and half years? Wow! I love that photograph which is why I'd remembered it. I'm so pleased for all of you that you're going down the guinea pig route, not that I know anything about them, but I love households that have well-cared for, loved animals in them. I know your little GPs will be much loved. But ... if you're getting a male and a female are you preapred for the babies?

Trip was successful. I'm exhausted so sitting on sofa until some energy comes back..

Marvellous news, Dancemum because I know that sometimes your DS2 can get a little bit worked up in new situations and that the whole befriender situation can be a little tricky. I think you deserved some serious sofatime so I hope you got it.
Wish I could shake my sore throat off, everyone's been commenting on how grim I sound today.

*Healing vibes* heading your way, Mrs MoneyPenny.

Thought you might like this that I found DH has posted on FB - " leave my clothes on the floor. They strangely disappear for a few days then I find them hung up in the wardrobe. I don't think my wife has noticed this strange phenomenon as she has to wash and iron her own". Mmmmmmm

    As you say, Mmmmmmmmm.

    Virtual (((hugs))) for CY's family.

I hope you scoffed the lot, Valli. I would have handed OH a teaspoon and helped myself to the biggest spoon I could find and had a happy few minutes with any whoopsied profiteroles I found. When it comes to whoopsied profiteroles our freezer's always going to be full to cram them in.

Off to a very well to do, in fact, probably the most well to do village in Devon this morning, to look at a secondhand Panasonic microwave that I found on Gumtwig on Tuesday night. The internal paint on ours has blown and I rather fear it's going to explode if we keep using it which we do a lot, so it needs replacing right fast. Fingers crossed that the apparently mythical trickle down economics politicians talk about does exist after all, and it's a decent one so I can hand over the crispy notes and haul my prize home. We're taking the old one to the dump along with a rusty old radiator that's been in the attic for all of 23 years (WHY do I put everything up there?) on the way. Then paperwork for the rest of the day because that's seriously out of control.
    Better is good enough.

A quick wave and hugs as required to everyone. A bit down at the moment as a) I got my first ever speeding notice yesterday after 40yrs clean driving. Mortified doesn't begin to describe it. and b) all the new regs and hoops we have to jump through in education are beginning to get me down and I'm starting to think about backing off some of the work I love but just don't have the heart or inclination to work it all out. There will be lots of positives if I do, but I don't do change well so I'll try not to whinge; just get my head down and fly/play catchup.

    - emptied DW
    - put dinner in slow cooker
    Off to uni now.

Oh, and the stray whippet I mentioned is now gradually beginning to trust someone in the next village; the dog warden pays regular visits and hopefully they will eventually be able to capture him/her and find one good home. At the moment so many people in 2 villages are leaving food out!

Honey Bear - If I had a radiator I would leave it on the front as we have scrappers round a lot. I ate less than half of the profiteroles. The rest have 'vanished'.

Taking DS to visit sis later. Her hubby 'feels unwell'. I am hoping he won't be going to the hospital. Would be nice to have her all to ourselves.

Thinking of the Cyclings, especially her DD.

Well I didn't get very far with my list the other day so will be continuing with that! I was out all day yesterday enjoying a spa day with my sister, friends and nieces for their birthdays :D I came home and flaked out for 3 hours!
I'm trying to discover what I want to do in life....not so interested in money rather than making a difference and needing money to help with that. I'm living with Fibromyalgia and I know that sooner or later I will need to stop working to be able to cope - I'm not there yet but need to start planning and preparing in readiness...just trying to figure out what path I will take to supplement my income and of which peaks my interest, is viable and helps others?

Anyway back to FLYing....here's my list :D

    Clear living room windowsill
    Clear kitchen table
    Declutter living room
    Hoover
    Polish
    Clear out pantry
    Cook food
    Clean pantry
    Iron uniform
    Dishes
    Clear breakfast bar and clean

    Ok...that'll keep me busy!
Catch you all later....hugs and love to all x

Back in from work, really pleased as I got the letter confirming my appointment as position of job sharing assistant in the afterschool club. Temporary with a view to permanent so that's 6 hours added to my working week. Still not sure when it starts as stuff needs getting in place so I've got time to get organised.

Currently trawling through the ironing pile. Ds2 is out all day at funeral and at the weekend he's going on holiday with his gf and her mum. I think they all need the break.

Right load of washing hung out another in the machine, all non ironing folded. Have got a load to bag up for dd3 once it's aired so I'm going to get on with ironing again anyone want to join me for an HHCx2
