    Morning all
Hugs and good wishes to all who need them.
I'm busy all day today so will have to play catch up later.

    Have a good day everyone

    Ps
Good escape there Valli, my cat used to leave those sort of gifts and I remember years ago stepping out to get the milk bottles in and catching his 'gift' between my toes- taught me to put slippers on before venturing a foot out of doors and to always look where I trod. Mind you I bet it amused the neighbour's seeing me leaping about on the drive shaking my foot about while screaming ewwww at the top of my voice.

    Morning!

We are watching the strictly results - managed to get this far without hearing who's gone home!

Need to buy a birthday present today, but we know what and where from so that should be easy enough. Will also pop to Mr S for milk and other essentials. Then back home.

DS is asking when he can get his bike out

I shout for washing and bedding to be changed and that's it. Glasses etc aren't allowed upstairs either

  • Morning!

I'm on it this morning! Focus woman. Yesterday went the way of the day before... Not enough work on the downstairs. All I managed is painting the bathroom window frame and filling the architrave. Rubbish! I ended up getting held up with other stuff. Doggy was sick on the sofa, so ended up stripping all the cushions off etc, then getting steam cleaner out to do the arms, then started on chairs in dining room, then walked the dog, by which time it was nearly tea time! Yesterday DD2 had a Halloween party to go to, I assumed it was a birthday party and bought a present. It wasn't!
YL I hope you get your day to yourself, it would be bliss!
Valli my old cat used to catch small rabbits occasionally. Not nice to find in your kitchen. But we do miss him.
Nicki hello if you are lurking, hope you are OK x

Oh, I've ordered a Guinea Pig hutch! And some hay and pellets and a water bottle! Need to pm my friend who knows someone with a GP shelter (small furry animal not doctor) and see when we can visit!

Are you venturing down the road of pets, Bossy? Excited kiddies, or what?! I seem to remember a lovely photograph of your DD sitting down in a barn type place cuddling a guinea pig from a couple of years ago, so I imagine you've been deferring the day for as long as humanly possible. So exciting, though.

I'm afraid the radiator problem sounds like a plumber job if you've tried twiddling the thermostat knob a fair old bit and that hasn't made any difference.
I was wondering if I could get the plasterer to do the final coat of royal icing - I'm sure he'd be better than me:D:D

I think recreating a layer of your wedding cake is the loveliest idea. I learned to plaster last year, and I said then that anyone who could ice a cake could be a plasterer. Your cake will look like my plastering - informal. And it'll be delicious and everyone will love it. It doesn't have to be perfect, it has to be made with love - that's all that matters.

I am willing to sort out the Flylady Secret Santa again this year - unless anyone else wants to do it?

Still haven't finished the Gift Aid claim...

Yes, please Ionafan. I can't think of a more appropriate way to remember Cycling Yorkie on this thread than to keep this kind, thoughtful, generous tradition going. I'm defo up for it.

The gift aid claim sounds like a nightmare.

Oooh Yorkshire Lass, a girly day. I heart OH, obvs, but a day when he goes to watch his team play in London is a day I relish every time and he knows it! I cannot understand women who resent their other halves hobbies. I hope you thoroughly enjoy every minute of it.

At least it's quick for the mice, Narco. Their last thought is 'Mmmmm, peanut butter ....' Poisoning them is cruel in comparison.

I hope the day out with DS2 and his befriender, Dancemum.

Wi1c0 have been very good about exchanging the two broken plastic drawer sets. I've filled up all of the other 13 and my end of the attic is finally as clear as I will ever get it, and more to the point when I took stuff up there this morning I could put it all away with other similar things. To crown it all, meths really does get indelible pen off plastic so I can now label all of the drawers so finding things will be a doddle. *relief* after 23 years of chaos up there. (And while I was doing the exchange I discovered the drawer sets had gone back up to £15, so I got a real bargain there.)

Kelpie was very sweeet smelling after his dunking yesterday and now smells of swimming pools after his hydrotherapy this morning. He's utterly exhausted, so I foresee a day of snoring from him. Perfect. I'm still nagging OH to upload the footage of his first session (terrifed) to his eleventh session (tail waggy) to the Tube of You. He positively raced in there this morning and to cap it all he's down to 22 kgs - hurrah! Only another three to go.
    Better is good enough.

Well, I don't really know what has got into me. Today I sorted a really untidy corner of the study, 'Russian dolled' some suitcases and put them in the space.

Then pulled out all the hall cupboard, re-jiggled the shelves and put all back tidy. Actually made enough space to put the spare duvet and pillows. Old towel put out for using as freezer defrosting accessory.

Not done much cleaning, apart from usual in kitchen. It's all WUDUPA, fronts wiped, bunkers wiped and rubbish exited. However, think it all counts as flying eh.

It all counts, thank goodness. It's at least a couple of days since I revved the Dyson up but I still consider all the work in the attic as Flying. Jolly hard flying work, actually.
    Better is good enough.

We are! And blimey I think that pic was over 3 years ago! It looked like hairy mcclairy lol. We are adopting 2 piggies, a black brindle called Burt and his "wife" Lucy who is black and grey (perhaps he snores?). They are about 2yrs old. We're all looking forward to it actually, I quite like them myself :)

Might have to go find that pic now.... Lol
