Indigo confirm successful appeal but for wrong person/vehicle

My DS received a PCN from Indigo for failing to display a valid permit. (He does have a permit)

He appealed the PCN and received an email to confirm a successful outcome in September, then he received a letter this month to say the charge was now increased to £74 as he had failed to pay it.

After hunting through his emails and checking the original response, the appeal outcome is for a different person & vehicle in a different part of the country.

Any advice for next steps please?

Complain to the BPA and DVLA that DS never received a reply to the original appeal.

Make an additional complaint to the DVLA, BPA, and also the ICO that DS has received someone else's details which is a breach of the DPA.

Do you have enough information to be able to contact the "other person" to let them know about the DPA breach.

Read the latest posts on the "This demands a new thread - Theresa May ..." and complain to your MP and Mrs May about this dreadful unregulated scam industry.

Thanks for the quick response Fruitcake.

They've provided the other person's title, first name, last name, PCN reference and car registration number plate. Quite alot of details but not quite enough for me to be able to contact them directly.

I'll continue with the complaints as suggested.

    thank you
