I'd definitely advise a diary. It really helps for motivation, kinda makes you accountable if a daft way and is especially good for those periods of little progress. Its not a topic of discussion for most people so at least on here you get to sound out plans and get some pleasure for people congratulating you on colouring in another square on a piece of paper :D

I think I enjoy that kind of colouring in more than my three year old enjoys colouring in rainbows and dinosaurs, and that's really saying something! :D

I still haven't got a picture, but must do one... although progress is only related to standard payment at the moment!

I got a picture of our house from google streetview and used that for my chart!

I love how we're all enthralled in colouring in our house chart! That adult colouring is all the rage at the moment but atleast we're paying off our mortgage at the same time! Lol!

Come on MV you need to get on the house chart wagon! :rotfl:

  • Great progress Jessy :) As I'm from Yorkshire too, I read your impression of your DH in a Yorkshire accent :)

When we move into the next house I'm definitely going to copy you and set up the colour in grid for motivation :)

I'll get one done once I have kitchen... although as we're only planning on being here for another 18 months it seems a bit pointless... when we move it'll be one of the first things I do!

My cousin went home Saturday and as much as I love having him here I was glad because blimey can that lad eat!!! I've had to spend some extra money on feeding him, I think the most annoying thing is that I've seen more fat on a butchers pencil! :rotfl:

I finished another cross stitch card this morning, which I'm very pleased with. Link below if you fancy a look!

I sold my bike on ebay last night. The buyer isn't coming to pick it up until next week but they've paid me by paypal already so it's fine by me!

Right, better get some surveys done!

    Have a lovely week!

    Lovely cross stitch :)

I'm sure it will all be fine, but just one piece of advice that was given to me by a friend who sells a lot on eBay... if you allow PayPal payments on a collection only item, the buyer can collect the item and then raise a case with PayPal to say they didn't receive it and PayPal will refund the buyer as the seller doesn't have any proof of postage. My friend did ask to take a photo of their ID when taking PayPal for collection items (selling high value items so I guess it seemed more acceptable, although I wouldn't ask for this) to prove they were there to collect. Like I said, I am sure you will be absolutely fine, but I wanted to share just in case you wanted to ask for cash on collection next time x

    Thanks Ch4rly!

Oh right I never thought of that! The reason I wanted paypal was because I had heard a few horror stories of people saying they'll pay cash on collection, going to collect the item, assaulting the seller and then running off with the item!! I guess both ways has it's disadvantages! I might take a sneaky photo of them leaving with the bike! Lol! x
