I'll chip in with food spends... Our weekly budget for 5 of us is £85. I'd say we generally spend around £60-£70 but then add to it with beer!! So we always seem to spend the budget but then always have a full beer fridge. If food if at £85 we skip beer as we know we have some in store!
    MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......

Well the necklace I put on ebay sold sport-smiley-001.gif so pleased with that as I was going to put it in the bin! DH has taken it with him today to post. I found a brand new Next purse with tags still on that I'm going to list this week. Banked the cheque from Inbox Pounds on Saturday but as usual with cheques it will take a week to clear and the funds made available. I'm at £39.90 on onepoll so only 10p to go before I can cash out! I also got £5 from Swagbucks over the weekend as well.

I started my first cross-stitch on Friday and incorporated it into a birthday card for my MIL and I have to say I'm quite proud of myself!

    Have a lovely week everyone!

  • Ooh a cross stitch card sounds lovely!
Well done for selling the necklace and not binning it. You've reminded me of a ring I don't like, I may go to see if a jeweller would want to part with their money for it.
    Have a lovely week Jess!

  • Well done on your eBay success. I've put a few bits up so hopefully they sell. I can never decide between auctions or best offers! Cross stitch looks great! Cards made with love always mean more than a shop bought one!

Thanks mrspuddleduck! I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of ebay so I don't use it very often! I always do auction though because I find people go mad in the last few minutes before it ends! Thank you, I'm very pleased with it and I'm just starting a new one for my gran. I'm finding it very therapeutic! x

Finally got to £40 on onepoll :j hopefully it won't take long to come into my paypal account. I won a fiver on the horses today from a 50p bet so pleased with that and one day I will win the £100,000 prize on Sky Bet's Pick 7 (Yeah I wish!) Lol!
I've finished another cross-stitch card today for my Gran that loves piggies! Photo of the card is on the link attached https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DGPean_XoAAD1d0.jpg:large
Think I'll do DH one next for his birthday, he's a big lover of The Simpsons so I'm hoping I can find a Homer pattern!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

  • Love the cross stitches you have done, it's lovely for the receivers to have something to keep too. I agree that any hand sewing is very therapeutic, it's a great hobby to chill the mind.

Thanks EC! I like to think about how much money I'm saving by making my own cards too. I know that might sound tight but £2 or £3 each for a birthday, mothers day, fathers day or special Christmas cards is abit much added up over the course of the year!

Some good news! I won the postcode lottery! Well £10 anyway! Lol! This will cover the cost of this months ticket. I also won on the horses again yesterday, £12 from a 50p bet. I'll claim £10 of that ready for when the interest is added onto the mortgage on the 9th.

Not much else to report at the moment, I have a few ornaments that I think I'll list on ebay because they just sit on the shelf gathering dust really and I'm trying to de-clutter the house as much as I can.

    Have a lovely weekend!
