  • £1.90 a day here in London!

But.....it is all organic food so I don't think that is a bad price!
My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being, hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.

Over £2 per day at secondary school here. Lost the plot a bit because DS3 is refusing to buy them or take a packed lunch, so comes home ravenous ...

At primary level it's £1.60 a day here. Very good value for money and in the summer they can opt for a cold lunch of a sandwich plus pizza or sausage roll, cold dessert and drink.

At secondary level £1.60 will buy you the day's set meal which includes dessert. Buying canteen style typical meal costs £2 including drink.

  • County Antrim - our local primary school is £2.20 per day.

Same here, still doesn't go far as cafeteria stuff is (I feel) quite expensive
How does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?

N.West, primary has just increased to £2 a day apparently due to Jamie Oliver's new healthy eating! Secondary school £2 a day, v.healthy, excellent choice of foods/drinks eg salad bars, baked spuds, pasta dishes.
My youngest 3 have packed lunch, eldest at secondary has school dinners.
  • £1.90 a day in East Sussex.

£1.70 a day. Still lots of junk like pizza/burger and chips on the menu. School thinks it's offering healthy eating by offering a token portion of carrots or fruit salad

Would cost £17 for the week for my two boys, but I can make much healthier lunchboxes for less than that. They also prefer having a hot home cooked family meal with us on an evening.
Here I go again on my own....
  • £1.85 at our school - all freshly prepared and no processed stuff. Def worth it as it is very very good.
