My skin has a tendency to be very dry, I need to moisturise twice a day other wise it can feel uncomfortable and I'll start to see flaky patches. If I have any excessively dry spots I'll add a 2nd coat of moisturiser to those areas once its had time to soak in.

Hope you manage to get it to sit right on your skin, can be a bit of trial and error to see what works best for you.

    Thank you SuiDreams.

I have a moisturiser(and eye cream and some other creams and lotions) in my stash items, but for now on my UU list I have micellar wipes but that's all I'm really using despite there also being micellar water on the list, so once these wipes are UU'd I will have to have a long, hard look at my morning and evening routines and incorporate a bit of everything I feel my skin needs to get it good :o

Gemma, I am a devoted disciple of Caroline Hirons aka beautymouthblog, as are several others on this thread.

I fortunately inherited very good skin, and as each decade has passed (and believe me a lot of them have passed:rotfl:) I have taken more care with looking after my skin, and have been following CH for a few years now, I can truthfully say that although I have some wrinkles and laughter lines my skin looks really good. I follow her in the belief that wipes and micellar water take make up off and often do it well, but do nothing for the real cleanliness and wellbeing of the skin. Her mantra is that wipes are for fannies, flights and festivals LOL.

She works with and reviews mostly high end expensive products, but regularly reviews better budget options, so don't let that put you off reading.

End of rant, not meant to be one really, just hoping that some of the pointers might help you.:D:D:D:D

    Hi ladies,

I have ordered the feel unique advent calendar. Will count these as INs when opened in December.

I repainted my nails last night but am going to have to do them again tonight. Am wearing Leighton Denny Supermodel. Noticed the formula felt thin when applying it and most of my finger nails are chipped already. Another TA.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I love Caroline too, so much. She really does know her stuff. I think an affordable serum would really help you Gemma but make sure you can afford it, I'm sure there are affordable options in boots around the £7-10 mark. Your skins sounds dehydrated. Also I'm not sure you need to use a BB cream and a foundation at the same time, maybe try one at a time?
  • end of October and only one in to report- a eyebrow definer and nothing else out. what a disaster of a month for the use up's. i really hope that November will be good for everyone.
  • Had a rubbish challenge month - 1 UU and 1GA

UU: Aveda damage remedy conditioner WBA but have another stashed.
GA: Elemis body lotion to my mum as I'm not keen on fragrance.

    Hopefully November will be better!

These sound really good and my feet are something I tend to neglect. It's definitely poundland and not one of the other pound shops?

Yep - these are them: http://www.poundland.co.uk/argan-foot-treatment-packs
