One last October UU for me
Clarins one step cleanser was a half used bottle gifted to my sister after she wasn't a fan. Not sure I am either WNBA left a residue and I think/hope it made me break out a bit as I don't want my expensive facial oil to be doing that!
Not done as well as I'd have liked with UUs mainly due to not powering through samples and favouring open full sizes. Still hoard samples but at least they haven't cost me!
Still deciding what to do about foundation purchase, will need to probably buy something in Nov.
May post my makeup list and a PP next month.0 -
Have added up my totals and am amazed at how good a month I have had. Drumroll please!
17 UUs
2 INs of which I only paid for 1. These were Essence mascara (paid for) Lancôme freebie mascara. Not counting the LE TSV items as MRM will probably give them to me at Christmas. Also bought 2 nail colours but don't count these fir this challenge. I also bought a bottle of E45 cream and handcream for Emma which I won't count as they won't go in my stash.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

fixx - I love the Clarins body lotion too.
shandyclover - I can't use any of the No7 skincare, it completely blocks my pores within about a week of use and takes about 3 months to clear up.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

A long term UU for me this weekend- a Burt's Bees beeswax lipbalm. It was a freebie 3 yrs ago and I've only just got to the bottom of it. A really lovely gentle lipbalm with a slight minty smell. Would buy once I've got through the other lipbalms in my stash (lipbalms seem to last ages!).
Not feeling well today, have a cold and a sore throat over the last few days and now have a large (and very sore) spot inside one of my nostrils!"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -
Sadly not much going on my end this month
I was up unusually early this morning tho so decided to try applying a full face of makeup for the first time.
I bought that new Veet sensitive precision thing on Friday, and I've trimmed my eyebrows after getting them waxed(shape only) on Saturday. They look so much better now! The hairs were so long and now I've trimmed them they are shorter and I can see where I have sparse areas to fill in.
The filling in of brows went surprisingly well for a first attempt(I just used a pencil) but the real problem came when applying my BB cream and then my foundation and concealer. It went really horrible and patchy and flaky and I have no idea why
Remember I had a shower this morning but while in the shower I just wet my hands and rub my face with said wet hands, I then use a micellar wipe when I get out. So I'm thinking it's either the BB cream/foundation/concealer or the fact my face just isn't clean! :eek:0 -

My routine tends to be Face serum and eye serum, leave for a bit to soak in, then eye cream and moisturiser. I tend to do my eye make up 1st, while moisturiser has time to soak in then primer, then foundation and concealer if needed. Seems to stop any patchiness.0 -
I think so in general - but different brands seem to work better or worse for different people. Something to do with your own skin chemistry/pH. Opi and Ciate work really well on me, last brilliantly. whereas Nails Inc chips really quickly. But I know people who experience the exact opposite!
I find that Nails Inc chips really badly on me as well no matter how I apply it. I mainly use OPI now and in the majority of cases it works fine for me. I do find sometimes that when I'm getting to the end of a bottle it starts chipping a lot (maybe it goes off???). Ciate have used a couple and they were fine on me. I used to use No.7 when I was younger, but found these used to go funny on the nail sometimes and had to be removed after only a day or 2, but they have probably been improved since then.0 -

I'm thinking my skin may be dry then and I'm going to have to incorporate more steps into my routine - actually use some sort of cleanser and then a moisturiser or serum of some kind afterwards0 -

My skin has a tendency to be very dry, I need to moisturise twice a day other wise it can feel uncomfortable and I'll start to see flaky patches. If I have any excessively dry spots I'll add a 2nd coat of moisturiser to those areas once its had time to soak in.
Hope you manage to get it to sit right on your skin, can be a bit of trial and error to see what works best for you.0
