UU
Tesco Pro Formula Balancing Oil-free Moisturiser 50ml - This worked very well and I have no complaints. The scent was a bit artificial but this didn't bother me. WMBA but I tend to buy whichever moisturiser I can get a good deal on.
Givenchy Amarige Mariage 1ml sample - Another one of my perfume free samples. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2019 Total UU since 2016 - 396 | Total February UU - 10 -
Lou 85 so pleased for you and OH re : job news.
I might have 1 more UU before tomorrow - a Primark face mask sachet that I opened yesterday.
Have cut open the Caudalie moisturiser tube. In light of the impending demise of my PCMC I've taken stock of my moisturiser stash. Have 160ml in total of Elemis Oxygenating night cream in the following formats : 100 and 30ml tubs, 2 X 15ml tubes plus 1 X each 15mls of Nuxe Detix cream and Liz Earle Skin Repair. Plenty before Christmas.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Few more bits used up in the last couple of days. I've resorted my bathroom cupboards - in the mirror cupboard, where I keep my face bits, I now have everything I want to use up first in one corner, which will hopefully stop me using bits and pieces of different products! Also in my main cupboard, I can now close the door properly without having to slam it shut. So that's a good sign!
Anyway, UUs:
1 x Sheet Mask - I couldn't tell you the brand, I just bought it from TXMaxx as they have a cartoon tiger face printed on them, so you look like a tiger when wearing it! WNBA as I can't remember the brand, and also it was a bit too wet
1 x Palmers Cocoa Butter sample sachet - WMBA, went on well, and smelt nice. There was so little in the sachet it was hard to judge how effective it would be!
1 x Argan Oil Foot Mask. WDBA - I get these from Poundland, they're little plastic/fabric socks impregnated with foot cream. I like to put a pair on, whack some wooly socks on top and leave them for the evening.
1 x Boots Almond Body Scrub - WMBA, not very scrubby but smells nice!
1 x Original Source Hibiscus and Pomegranate shower gel.WDBA, smelt delicious, but sadly just a limited edition one!0 -
Another UU fenjal luxury shower oil. It was lovely, I've had it in my stash for years. It lasted for ages as I just put a little on a bath scrunchie it really lathers up and smell gorgeous.SPC~12 ot 124

Lou85 - hope your baby comes soon, those last days are very hard.
I have two uu's
Body Shop Glazed Apple Shower Gel 250ml - WNBA, I didn't hate this but didn't love it, very lathery though. I did actually use as bubble bath as I have tons of shower gel, it smelt cheap and synthetic to me.
Khiels Ultra Moisturiser 30ml - nothing special about this so WNB.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Just catching up after a very busy week...Soap & Glory Micellar Water - WNBA, this is supposed to smell of cucumber but smelt of methylated spirit to me (and strongly of it too), it removes face makeup well but not eye makeup.
I have this too - but I do find it smells of cucumber. And I hate cucumber :rotfl: Agree - I've used better micellar waters for removing eye makeupHouseplant26 wrote: »I sense that OPI nail varnishes are popular amongst the ranks. Do you definitely need new ones folks? (I'm terrible at finding energy to paint my nails I wish I did I'd love to be a manicured lady!)
I love Opi, and Ciate, but I won't buy either advent calendar this year - I do not need new polishes. I have lots of lovely ones that I really like, so I'm just going to keep going with those.Deleted_User wrote: »Are OPI polishes worth the money? I've only just got into painting my nails and was wondering about getting a gift set of some kind for Christmas so I might have a look at the QVC deal.
I think so in general - but different brands seem to work better or worse for different people. Something to do with your own skin chemistry/pH. Opi and Ciate work really well on me, last brilliantly. whereas Nails Inc chips really quickly. But I know people who experience the exact opposite!0 -

Nail polish is one product where I pretty much ignore reviews completely. It is so personal. I have had well-reviewed polishes that have been terrible on me and badly-reviewed ones that have lasted and lasted. I think formulation and brush size is also so important. If you work best with a thick formulation and a small brush you will probably struggle with a runny formulation and a thick brush. I don't buy minis anymore because I have wide nails and it is so hard to get a nice finish with the tiny brushes that come in those.
One UU to end the month with - Philosophy Christmas Cookie shower gel. It is lovely, but would only buy it again if it was on special.
This month has been terrible for UUs. I need to be more focused next month.0 -
It's been a very slow month for me for UUs, but finally have a few to end the month:
- Swell Protect and Renew Serum. WNB. Got in a bonus box of some kind. Fine, but nothing special, and more needed per use than most serums.
- Kedem Restoring Day cream. WNBA. Just plain and unexciting. Not worth buying, there are better budget creams available.
- Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion, 100ml. WMB - OMG this was gorgeous, but it's so expensive! I might add to the Christmas/gift list... Why are all my favourite body lotions the pricey ones?!
Also one TA - Tigi BedHead Urban Antidotes Re-Energise shampoo, 750ml. I did use the majority of this, but it does not seem to agree with my hair; it's steadily got drier and rougher. My hairdresser commented on it last week, so I decided enough was enough, it's got to go.
So, related IN's!
- John Frieda Sheer blonde shampoo - as I know I get on really well with thisnew larger 500ml bottle that Boots have started stocking, and they had 1/3 off, so yay!
And Boots also had a 3 for £15 Toni&Guy offer, so took the opportunity to get my HG hair mask and hair serum (which is £9.99 on it's own!), plus a new conditioner to try:
- Toni&Guy Nourish Reconstruction Mask
- Toni&Guy Radiating Tropical Elixir
- Toni&Guy Nourish Conditioner for Damaged Hair0 -
UU - No.7 Lift and Luminate Night Cream, this was part of a gift set from DD last Christmas! Yes, it's lasted me this long, and I was not particularly sparing with it either. I quite liked it, though I developed a couple of milia spots, I'm not sure if it's related or just hormonal? I probably would not buy it for myself as I think it is overpriced for what it is and if I was going to spend that kind of money I would go for something all natural.
One of my DD went off to uni and left a shopping bag full of toiletries in the bathroom, and another friend of my DD's visited and decided not to take anything home that was less that half full so I have had lots of UU's but none of them really mine, and not used enough to comment on.
3 of my girls are vegan so today we all went to Vegfest. I still have a stash of toiletries to get through but when I finally finish them I want to switch to more natural body care products and was particularly looking for small businesses I can buy from in the future. The amount of beauty/skin/bodycare stalls at Vegfest was amazing - and the quality really, really impressive. I tried out a few samples and it certainly puts whatever you can buy on the high street to shame. I purposely left my debit card at home and only took a small amount of cash as I knew I would be tempted though I did collect lots of leaflets and websites to order from for Christmas presents. Roll on UU's, I am really looking forward to the switch! No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0 -
1 x Argan Oil Foot Mask. WDBA - I get these from Poundland, they're little plastic/fabric socks impregnated with foot cream. I like to put a pair on, whack some wooly socks on top and leave them for the evening.
These sound really good and my feet are something I tend to neglect. It's definitely poundland and not one of the other pound shops?Did owe £9,951.96
