OH MY GOODNESS!!! Ive changed from a newbie to a convert and got a star!!! Im so thrilled!!! Did yous all feel like this when yous changed from being a newbie or am I over-reacting a teeeny-weeeny bit! :rotfl:
MOT - Im dedicating this honour to you to bring you luck xxx0 -
Hey sand-dancer, thats just how I felt when I realised I had a star too! Makes you feel great doesn't it?!
Yes, I've had a drink (or two;) ) to relax and raided I-T's freezer for a meal for the twins and I - found some chilli con carne that he had cooked and frozen and very nice it was too :rotfl: then just cuddled with a twin on the settee whilst the other made use of I-T's special reclining chair (carefully that is - paranoid as it cost a fortune:eek: ). Twins now in bed and I'm heading off there too in a minute to read my book which hasn't been touched since the beginning of the week as I've been too tired to read in bed.
Range Virginmedia tonight who provide my broadband and phone, and as I'm on a 12 month contract with them have managed to get them to connect me at the flat as there is already a connection there but it won't finalised til Thursday so will able to be on MSE as much as I like from then:T .
If HLO's decision is still negative and I go to appeal then its unlikely that appeal won't be heard until December possibly even January so it was worth continuing with VM to be able to keep in touch as if I lose the appeal then I will have a further 28 days (Ithink) to find somewhere else to live. I have the Support Worker from the HA coming to see me at the flat on Tuesday (what a surprise she will have from when she was there last Tuesday!) to discuss my options for permanent accomodation, her job is to help me find this.
Tomorrow I am cleaning I-T's house and cooking a curry for us all to have when he's back.
Night all, sleep well xxChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -

Well now - it's today, but it was yesterday when I began reading mot.
Have twice returned to kitchen to zap kettle for Hottie water(than which, lacking your I-T, there can be no greater inanimate comfort)then returned, resumed reading and lo! another hour has gone by. . . .and a few more.
First, I have no idea how I have not seen anything of your situation or posts until now.
As so many have said, all that I would wish to say has been so well, so often, posted by others. But this forum - as we all know - completely and utterly inverts the Law of Diminishing Returns.
May you and yours be having a time of empathy, gentleness, ease and joy tonight.

Yes, it's slightly doggerel-ish, but its portmanteau intensity and 'drawing up on inner forces as yet ungathered' verve is not without merit. It's had its moments as a touchstone for me when I've been sent reeling('up the glass mountain under the cosh' is a place many of us here know only too well).
I've known it from N.Z. teenage/college times, when Goldwater was a-nother)U.S. Republican madman to be protested against . . .and the Beatles came for the first and last time. 'It was closed' pronounced John.
I hope rog2 and Gforce will post again soon.

Hi MOT - I'm sorry I haven't been around much this week - just 'cream crackered' with the training for my job - hard to imagine why I'm having to 'train' for 12 hours a day, six days a week, for a part-time job delivering groceries  . Anyway, I've just been catching up with your thread.
I'm both happyand sad  for you:
I'm happy that you actually have a place, albeit temporarily, away from all of your hassle, and I HOPE that this will be the start of better things to come.
I'm sad to read of the state that you found the flat in - surely there were health hazards and i would have thought that the council would have a 'duty of care' to ensure that it met certain standards of hygiene before you moved in.
As for the delivery men wanting extra money, then that, to me, is just one more example of how unscrupulous people are always quick to profit from the misfortune of others.
Anyway, you seem to have tackled these problems 'head on' and are well on the way to transforming the flat into a cosy little 'home' for you and the twins.
I do hope that the HLO's final 'decision' is positive and that you soon find yourselves in more suitable accomadation, but, I'm sure that the advantages of your current situation far outweigh the disadvantages of the past few weeks.
Whatever you do, do NOT let up on the HLO for one minute.
Good LuckI am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Morning all,
MOT - Woo-Hoo!! Have a lovely weekend! :smileyhea xxx
Up here we're in the run-up of the Newcastle v Sunderland derby this afternoon, just hope it ends in a draw and the Mags and the Mackams hug each other and wish each other well at the end of the game. As If!! (Im a Mag but dont arf fancy Roy Keane, Lucky Mackams!)0 -
Gosh!
(Having just become Serious, on?/up? from Stalwart in mser posts, feel pleased it's happened on your watch, mot)
May today be wonderful and for the twins - both part of the happy swirl, seeing their maman in a glow, included in it. It's an irreplacable healing bonus that they can know themselves much liked by A Nice Man and be perceptively appreciated by him as interesting young individuals.
Excellent template, too, for your DS.
Consider us all there as you meet IT and well-meaningly ruin the à deux-ness of it all.

It must be my vocation in life to be a cleaner:rotfl: as I have spent the morning cleaning I-T's house and am now all hot and bothered here! Also have cooked a nice curry for our meal tonight so nothing to do when we get back apart from open a good bottle of wine and sit and chat whilst eating our meal - then pack the twins off to bed and ...................................;)Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0
