Hi everyone, MOT HERE :rotfl:
When I get a spare hour or so, I will answer everyone's questions, but for now here's today's update - the kitchen at the flat is spotless and looks quite homely as does the bathroom. D bought me a bright and cheerful red rug for the lounge floor and today we are blitzing in there and the bedroom. I've even got the lilies ready for the vase in the lounge!!
D and I both completely knacjkered (!) and my back/hip injury has flared up up again, it had never gone away but was so much better.
I-T back again tomorrow :j :j :j picking him up from Heathrow late tomorrow pm (D and T having twins for me).
Wrote to council HLO asking her when she is making final decision about permanent re-housing - and expect a visit next week from HA Support Worker who is also helping me with permanent re-housing.
Sorry its short and sweet but school run beckons in 45mins and need a shower etc!
Love you all :smileyhea0 -
Good on ya MOT, I know it's not perfect,:o but better than the bailiffs.....:eek:When you get your permanent home, then you can really go to town.......:T
I think you are a bit like me.....If I was living in a hen house, I would make a home of it.........:rotfl:
Keep on posting when you can, we all want to know how you and the twins and off course I T are getting along.Today, my BEST is good enough.0 -
Hi MOT - sorry to hear the flat was such a state - believe me I've been there! Do you use Flylady? I found that really helpful to get the house sorted out after I came off bedrest (OH just isn't the perfect househusband!)
I find the small things really help like nice bedlinen and curtains (charity shops are brill for this). And if you've not got a copy borrow Thrifty Ways from the library - the cleaning section is brill!£4000 challenge
Currently leftover - £3872.150 -
Bet we won't hear much from MoT tonight - she'll be all lurved up with I-T!!
Let us know when you hear back from HLO, big :grouphug: to D & :grouphug: all of you (including I-T)

hi MOT thanks for the update
it must of been so deflating to find the flat in such a condition, its unbeliveable that the council can be happy sending people in to that espc after what they know you have been through.
I bet it feels like a real achivement now you have turned it around.
maybee u should give kim and aggie a call and audition maybee you have found your new career! lol :rotfl:

Its TOMORROW night that I'll be all ''lurved up" :rotfl: :rotfl: picking I-T up late tomorrow pm.
Do you know that flat has been bleached, disnifected, scrubbed to within an inch of its life???!!!!!! Even the carpets were scrubbed with a mixture of bleach and Flash as were the walls!!! Nothing has gone uncleaned except for the ceilings and I thought that was going a bit far :rotfl: :rotfl: But.....the beds:eek: they are soooooo....MANKY! The single bed base is broken and is propped up under the mattress with some minging old towels. If DS tried to lie on that then he would go straight through - it would be ok for a 2yr old but a 5'5" well set lad like my DS - no chance! So D and T bringing a single bed as well a double for us on Sunday - need I-T home to help hump the stuff up to the 2nd floor!
Little homely touches in today like the flowers and a a couple of colourful bits to compliment the jazzy rug.
Received email from council HLO who said she in in process of making her 'FINAL' decision:eek: so could still be homeless.Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
