WOO! I did wonder....his name kept cropping up in your posts, but I was concious that you had both said you were old friends, so didn't like to make assumptions :D

Hope your Dr gets her pen out & does her stuff tomorrow...maybe you could "suggest" to her what she should write, as she's obviously having so much trouble finding the right words!

    (whispers...Mot's got a boyfriend...and its ItalianTony :kisses3: )

  • Floss, yes I am that man. MOT & I knew each other many years ago and dated for a while. I didn't appreciate then the strength of my feelings for her or just how much I would miss her when she moved away but pine I did. However, good fortune and Friends Reunited smiled on us and here we are together again, albeit in trying times. My problems seem to pale into insignificance compared to hers. I regret my place is too small to accomodate MOT & the twins and my finances are insufficient to help her in other ways. You and all the others are right, MOT is an amazing woman and a fantastic mum but above all, she is the love of my life that I wish I'd appreciated many years ago. But, I don't believe in looking back. Onward and upward is what matters now for MOT and the twins and, I want to be a part of her future. She is coping as best she can in extremely difficult circumstances but not helped by beaurocracy. OK so she falls apart now and again and who wouldn't? I will always be there for her. I hope I can be there to help with her move; as MOT has said I am off on holiday on 27 Oct for 2 weeks (taking my 92 year old father to Majorca) and wish that MOT could have come with me but that was not possible, even though she gets on with my Dad like a house on fire. I will really miss her and can't bear the thought of her coping with a move on her own. So let's hope the Council move their butts. I've thanked you all on her behalf before but I do it again. You are giving her the strength to fight the good fight. She may be at the bottom but there is only one way to go from there - UP.

    Morning all,

Thank you i-t for your post :blushing:

Received email from HLO about the empty house I was told about last night - to which she replied -
"I am not sure who gave you that information but 63 ******** ******* is definitely occupied. Even if it wasn't, the council allocates properties

through the Choice Based Letting Scheme, which i'm sure i explained to you at initial interview. Everyone gets the chance to bid for properties advertised

regardless of whether they have been accepted as homeless or not.

Apart from that no decision has been made on your application yet and as such we cannot start discussing the allocation of properties now especially

when we are not sure if it will be a positive one. I will let you know as soon as a decision has been made after i have received information requested from

    your GP. "

Have you been accepted onto your Council's housing list MoT? If yes, then you should be bidding for every house that comes up - they may say that you have not been proactive if not....but if nobody has told you that you should be doing that, how are you supposed to know?

And it may be "occupied" but the tenant may not have given their notice in yet, to give them chance to clear out & clean it!

 Am glad I'm not nearer to you, i'm getting very tempted to go & thump this HLO!
